To love God is hard, so He resides in the heart of the Sant-Guru.
The spiritual heights the Budda reached through his lifetimes of almighty inner struggle, Bhai Lehna ji reached within 2 years of Falling in love with Guru Nanak Dev ji's sweet words and lotus feet.
Dassan Dass Ji also fell in love with Baba Ji at just hearing about him and completed his spiritual journey within two years.
Everything you have done so far is not a waste, please do not get frustrated, it has got you this far, direct contact iwth God in the heart of Dassan Dass Ji. Now build your relationship, build you sachee preet, sacha sharda, sach vishvaas, let love carry you through. Let seeing your satn-guru in everyheart bring love into your heart wherever you go. Let every action of yours become a love filled truthful action in service of your satguru. Focus on every shoe you wipe being satguru nanak dev ji's shoe, being the shoes of dassan dass ji, love those shoes like bhai lehna ji loved guru nanak, like dassan dass ji loves baba ji. Love washing those dishes like bhai lehna ji loved washing guru nanak dev ji's dishes. Love doing your work and your colleagues like they are baba nanak and dassan dass ji. Look in the mirror and see your satguru - jeeo pind sabh tera - this mind and boyd and soul and wealth are all yours. Speek sweetly and kindly. Melt other peoples heart and Satnaam will melt the obstacles in your own heart. Live to serve others until your whole reason for living is to serve wether you get any spiritual rewards or not - leave that in god-Gurus hands to bless you as and when he wishes. Become the dog at the Sant-Guru's table and humbly serve and obey every command and accept whatever scraps fall from the table. Read gurbani, or this website and take even one line and put it into practise. Earn it and only then move on to the next line. Take one line like

give body
give mind
give wealth
give everything practically

give body in serviice of everyone as satguru like bhai lehna ji did.
Give mind by keeping it focused on Satnaam Satnaam at every moment, and not just mechanical repition, say it with feeling, say it with love, say it in your heart whilst feeling you are massaging baba nanak ji or dassan dass ji's feet, say it like you would say your lovers name. Know that Satnaam is real living being, say it like that. Talk to the trees, thank God for the sun, praise nature, praise your Guru -thisis called sifat salah ...look at the sun and say satguru ji , just like ths sun comes out and shines love upon everyone equally and takes away the darkness, satguru ji come into my heart and take away all the darkness and fill it with naam.
Get up and breathe the air, thank the air for supportign your body, and thank Satnaam in the Satguru for supporting tha air.
Thank the water for supporting your body and thank Satnaam in the Satguru for supporting the water.
Thank great mother earth for supporting us all, for giving us a chance to walk in this human frame on this Earth Temple and to do bhagti, and then thank Satnaam in the Satguru for supporting the Earth.

Do simran with happiness and love, like a flower in the sunshine that doesnt expect anything, it only shines bright in the sunshione, it give fragrance to one and all and the bees come to it, it doesnt chase any desires. Become like that flower. do your simran with so mcuh love for satguru ji's feet, that satguru ji, that satnaam in the heart of the satguru, of the sant comes running to pick you up and hug you to his chest.

And thirdly give wealth, give everything to god-Guru, the needy, the poor, if you cant give everything then start with giving daswand if you dont already, and give until it hurts, give until the fear of "where will moeny come from" leaves you and faith that satguru takes care of everything enters into you.

Fastest way to become immortal (never to die again) is to quickly die while yet living.
Fastest way to become light (gurmukh) is to quickly surrender the heavy weight of your body, mind and wealth (tan, man and dhan) at the sat charans (lotus feets) of the Guru.
Fastest way to acquire the universal wisdom (braham gyan) is to quickly lose your self wisdom, worldy wisdom and evil wisdom.
Fastest way to know the outside world is to quickly turn your mind inward and realize the inside world.
Fastest way to get out of the shackles of maya is to quickly get in to the shackles of gur and guru (become one with gur and guru).
Fastest way to get all your desires fullfilled is to quickly become desireless by becoming sat santokhi (contentment that SAT is with us, in us and all is SAT )
Fastest way to become highest of the high is quickly become lowest of the low.
Fastest way to merge in to the heart of the guru is to quickly merge in to the lotus feet of the guru.
Fastest way to unload the loads of sins and mistake is quickly off load it by accpeting your mistakes and asking for forgiveness from gur and guru.
Fastest way to drink the amrit of the highest order is to quickly become the dust of the feet of the entire creation.
Fastest way to completely trust your guru is to quickly understand/realize and see GOD in GURU and treat them as one.
Fastest way to love the entire creation is to quickly understand/realize and see GOD/GURU in the entire creation.

All of the above realization to anyone is only and only possible with gur parsaad and gir kirpa of gur and guru and nothing else.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Bagdad, Fearless With "Satnaam"

Satnaam Satguru Satsangat Ji,

Dandauth Bandhana Ji,

 

 

Just look at how much faith Dhan Guru Nanak Dev ji had in SatNaam.  He went and faced the misguided Muslims in Bagdad to tell them the Truth.  He faced a crowd armed with stones when they heard Baba Nanak saying there were more than seven worlds, that god was unlimited.

Without weapons, without an army, without fear, all Baba Nanak ji had was "Sat Naam" - the Fearless One, the highest Mantra, the Truth. May SatNaam make us fearless to deliver the Truth as well.

 

 

Bhai Gurdas Ji writes in Var 1:

From Mecca Baba went to Baghdad and stayed outside the city.
Firstly, Baba himself was in the form of Timeless and secondly,
he had his companion Mardana, the rebeck player.
For namaz (in his own style), Baba gave call,
listening to which the whole world went into absolute silence.
The whole city became quiet and lo! to behold it,
the pir (of the town) also got wonderstruck.
Observing minutely he found (in the form of Baba Nanak) an exhilerated faquir.
Pir Dastegir asked him, which category of faquir you belong to
and what is your parentage.
(Mardana told) He is Nanak, who has come into kaliyug,
and, he recognises God and His faquirs as one.
He is known in all the directions besides earth and sky.

 

The pir debated and came to know that this faquir is much more powerful.
Here in Baghdad he has shown a great miracle.
Meanwhile he (Baba Nanak) talked about myriads of netherworlds and skies.
Pir Dastegir asked (the Baba) to show him whatever he had seen.
Guru Nanak Dev taking along with him the son of the pir, melted into thin air.
And in a wink of eye visualized him the upper and lower worlds.
From the nether world he brought a bowl full of sacred food and handed it over to pir.
This manifest power (of the Guru) cannot be made to hide.

 

After making Baghdad, the citadel (of pirs) bow, Mecca, Madina, and, all were humbled.
He (Baba Nanak) subjugated and eighty four siddhs
and the hypocrisies of the six schools of Indian philosophy.
Lacs of underworlds, the skies, earths and the whole world were conquered.
Subjugating all the nine divisions of earth
he established the cycle of SATNAAM, the Truth name.
All the gods, demons, raksasa, daitys, Chitragupt et al. bowed at his feet.
Indra and his nymphs sand auspicious songs.

I was a lonely soul girl, living at in my Maya home with my worldy parents.  My father Fear was quite dominating and I never wandered out alone to find True Love.  My friends : Anger, Pride, Lust , Greed and Attachment  and hobbies : Desire, Jealousy and Slander helped me to pass the time, but as I got older I could no longer ignore the feelings in my heart.   I met an older girl in ainternet chatroom and she told me her story and how she found True Love and was happily married.    So I stayed out late one night to go and meet her.  She was so happy and told me her Husband was sitting on her bed, and when she looked in the bed of my heart she said "Yes, I can see you're still lying their alone, still looking for True Love."    She also told me that her husband had a great harem with millions of happy wives and I could join the harem too.    It sounded to good to be true and when I got home  my father Fear   gave me a scolding.  He made me feel so small and worthless and I just crawled back into my box.  

 

But a few more years went by and my friends had betrayed me many times so i didn't trust them anymore.  And my hobbies were just not interesting anymore.     I told my Father I was no longer scared of him and he should arrange my marriage or I would find True Love myself.        He frightened me with his words of what could happen if I went out alone and that I belonged to him and had to live under his control.    But dying was better than living with this unbearable ache as I lay alone on the bed of my heart.       I ran away and slammed the door shut on my wordly parents , friends and hobbies.  I ran through the streets with screaming and shouting,  I saw my reflection I was a short, ugly girl, my hair was a mess, my clothes were dirty - who was ever going to marry me?   So as I sat their sobbing, the older wife from the chatroom came and picked me up.   I told her I had no where else to go and that I had left behind all my friends, hobbies and parents.  She hugged me and took me to her house.  

 

It was amazing, there were so many beautiful gurmukh  brides there.  Each decorated perfectly , smiling and blissful.   They sat me down and fussed over me.  They told me how to become a forever bride a SADA SUHAGAN as they called it.    I touched their feet, no that wasn't enough to show my appreciation for taking me in, I pressed my forehead on their feet and lay flat like a stick at their feet.  As I got up I applied some makeup - the dust of their feet - on my face.  They took the jewels of their Husband's Word and strung them together around my neck and said keep these jewles close to your heart, the Husband will be pleased with you.    The touched my forehead and blessed me saying look through this every morning in the early hours and watch eagerly for your husband to come home.   

 

Then they sat me in the carriage and ast all around, talking about how their own marriages  were performed and all the wonderful experiences they had had since.  They said it all started with doing true deeds and rejecting the five bad friends and wordly family and nasty hobbies as I had.  Then they met the vichola - the middle man, they called him the SatGuru.  He had arranged thousands of marriages to the Husband and now they took me to see him.   I was so excited , surrounded on all sides by the Gurmukh brides, they told me what to say and how to behave.  To be humble and loving, to bow my head in respect and touch the Satguru's feet and to totally surrender to his word.     

 

The Gurmukh brides went in first and met the SatGuru, they fell at his feet and lay flat like a stick, how could they ever repay Him for what he had done for them?  Again and again they were a sacrifice to the Satguru.     So I copied them and felt very humble too.  They introduced me and he was pleased with my devotion and committment.   I told him I too wished to be a SADA SUHAGAN but was just a lonely girl, DU-HAGAN. He took pity on me and said he would put in a good word for my with the Husband.   I had heard whatever the SatGuru says becomes true, whatever marriage he says will be performed happens, so I was very pleased and couldn't stop smiling inside.         Then he said on my part I had to start replacing the ache in my heart with love the Husbands name.  And the name the Husband had chosen for himself at the very beginning was TRUTH or SAT,  infact I should just remember the One Husband whose Naam is "Sat" (Ek Oankar Sat Naam) with love with my inner voice and look through the window in the middle of my forehead.   He gave me the Sat Guru's blessing, GUR PRASADI NAAM and said REMEMBER TRUTH , do TRUE DEEDS and you will become TRUTHFUL.  That pleases the Husband more than anything else.

 

I was so happy,  my engagement ceremony had happened.  My Satguru had arranged the marriage, the Husband was happy to go through with it and all I had to do was to keep calling out his name inside me and to keep looking through the window and waiting contentedly for as many days and months as it would take.

 

All the gurmukh brides and I went home singing the praises and talking of the wonder and amazement of it all.  They told me before it rains there are many signs, change in the wind, colder air, chirping birds, rustling leaves.    And I too would know when the Husband would be arriving on the bed of my heart to perform the divine union and fill me with True Love.  There would be an invisible band playing the five sounds like wind, percussion and strings.  There would be divine light and sweet drops of amrit, there would be LOVE sweet LOVE.  So now I sing the praises and await the day, and stand here with the wedding dress of spiritual humility and love for the NAAM.  Infact I remember seeing the Husband once, but I was an ignornant bride then and turned him away while I played with my 5 friends and wasted time on my hobbies and was content with living under the roof of Father Fear.  But I wouldn't be making the same mistake twice.

Hey Veer Ji,

Thank you too for letting me into your Sangat and time take to write
the email below. Wow you went into smadhi. That sounds amazing!

I learnt alot by doing your sangat last friday. Now its all about
putting your words into practice and declare war with the five inside
of me.

One of the things that I was told on friday was not to have any
desires of smadhi or to hear the five shabads, but doesnt this
contradict with what bhagat Kabeer is saying in Gurbani:

ਕਹੁ  ਕਬੀਰ  ਹਰਿ  ਚਰਣ  ਦਿਖਾਵਹੁ  ॥
कहु कबीर हरि चरण दिखावहु ॥
Kaho Kabīr har cẖaraṇ ḏikẖāvhu.
Says Kabeer, O Lord, please reveal to me Your Lotus Feet;

ਪਾਛੈ ਤੇ ਜਮੁ ਕਿਉ ਨ ਪਠਾਵਹੁ ॥੩॥੩੨॥
पाछै ते जमु किउ न पठावहु ॥३॥३२॥
Pācẖẖai ṯe jam ki▫o na paṯẖāvhu. ||3||32||
after that, go ahead and send me to my death. ||3||32||

In the shabad the above bhagat Kabeer Ji wants darshan. Isnt that a desire?

Also, I really thought about what you said about using simran as
escapism and remembered I had these desires way before the probs at
home started...

I would like to come again into sangat sometime. I'll let Satty know,
I have his number now.

but I just have so much love for you, I know you can do it, I only see myself in you and know you can pull yourself out of the 40foot well full of the scum of maya.

 

Become free of desires for maya.

Replace with desire for Gurprasadi Naam, for singing Gods praises, for serving the Creator in every heart, in every living creature.   Desire to become such a servant that you forget who you are, what you are and why you even came onto this path. 

 

seva karat hoi nikaamee, tis sevak hoth prapat swamee

...doing seva become desire-free, in such a servant the Master manifests ..sukhmani

 

Its a really difiicult balance,  desire for bhagati and naam and seva and selflessness is a great thing,

desire for specific things like opening dassuma duar, hearning anhad vajay and so on can become maya.     Become nothing, sacrifice everything for naam and to the one who eanred the naam and blessed us with it out of their earnings,  become nothing and naam knows its own way through this body and mind,  like a river knows its way down the mountain - it doesnt need a map or any targets, it just knows deep down to keep going down, down down ....dandauth dandauth danadauth to all 14 realms of Creation.

 

Please do come again, please keep praying for

 

gurprasad of naam,  naam simran, naam dee kamaee (earning naam), selfless seva, parupkar (big generous heart to help others) and maha parupkar (to save others by giving them naam).

me: slander=hell (nindya=narak) for our mind, then it takes years to clean up the damage

 

Keep washing everyones feet , why look up in ego when guru ji has asked to be servant of all?  Infact, the servant still expects pay, but Guru ji wants us to be slave with no expectation of anythng in return.  Keep praying that others tell us the truth about ourself.  Keep praying that we are shown our own weaknesse and that we can bear to hear them, otherwise ego gets offended when someone tells us our weaknesess. 

 

As many drops as there are in the ocean are as many faults we have.  How can we ever become pure enough?  How can we ever do anything at all?  Just surrender.  Just give it all up to God-Guru.

Wondrous , wondrous Truth Lord, I seek your refuge,

for I am a sinner and only You are the perfect pure One.   Guru Nanak Ji

 

Surrender, give up, fall flat, become nothing so naam can become everything.

 

"Aap gaavaaiaa ta shahu paaiaa, aur kaysee chaturaaee"

Losing ones sense of self, the Lord is realised, what other technique is needed?  …Guru Nanak Ji.

 

I read the meaning of Khalsa before Guru Gobind Singh ji used the word.  It meant "a piece of land that was under direct control of the Moghul emperor."   There was no landowner in between.  Our ego thinks the field of this mind and body is under its own control.  But ego just needs to surrender control to the Supreme Emperor.  Then we become Khalsa and belong to SatNaam WaheGuru and that is the greatest victory.  (Satnaam ji ka khalsa satnaam ji kee fateh!)

 

 

taranjeet: yes your soothing blessing is making our heart blossom with love oh satnaam jee.

 

 me: become nothing like a ray of the sun.  Become as light as the air.  Become free like the gentle breeze.  Become sweet like the fragrance that attracts the bee, that attracts God.

Become the cool raindrop gently soothing the dry soil.  Stop pushing ourselves onto the world and trying to control others.  Just become invisible like God himself serving the creation at all times without us even knowing or apprecitating.  Become sin-free.  Become weightless.

sorry to spoil the party, but personally the last thing I want nowadays is anybody to praise or celebrate anything about me.

Why do WANT people to wish you happy birthday?

Why do you want praise and recognition?

Baba Ji said to me once that he has no name.

 

tudh agay ardass hamaree jeeo pind sabh teraa

kahu nanak sabh teree vadaa knoee nao na janay mera

..infront of you Lord, I offer this prayer, that this body and soul are all Yours.

Nanak says:  It (this body and soul)  is all Your greatness Lord, may no one know my name.

 

When we become absolutely nothing like Baba Nanak Ji did and as Baba Ji has too, then God becomes everything and the rest of the world do remember them and praise them.  But, that is God's way and not because of their WANT for praise and recognition.

 

 

Also why are you fearing getting old?   Farid Ji also says in gurbani not to have fear of losing our youth so long as we have love for Truth in our heart ...joban janday na daaray je sachay naal pyare....

 

Once I asked Sant Narinder Singh ji at Hazoor Sahib how old he was (looked around my age),  and he smiled and replied that he did not know old his soul was.   Which is what this whole game of life and death is about.  Baba Ji told me that this is my 189th human life ...so even if I lived 50yrs in each life times 200 lives = 10,000 years old - and thats not including all the years as other lifeforms.

 

The only thing we should really be celebrating is the present moment, bring the joy and happiness you have for celebrating your own birthday, into celebrating every moment of everyday.  Sahib mera nit navay ... my Master is new every moment.  New leaves, new skin cells, new weather, new breath, new blood cells - everything is new and fresh at every moment - lets celebrate that with every Satnaam Satnaam we recite at every moment.  Thats why even celbrating relgious festivals and holy days is just keeping us stuck in the past.

 

But its is hard to get out of societies rituals of celenbrating special days like briths, death anniversaries, wedding anniversaries and so on,  so the best thing we can do is to use them as an excuse to celebrate God by singing god's praises and doing good deeds, making and serving food, giving rather than expecting gifts and so on.

Its my birthday today! So wish me happy birthday everyone!..

 

For the past couple of months, infact year or so, I wasn't looking forward to being 30....even getting stressed about it...I said to myself.  When I am 30, i am gona hate it!!!

 

Today when I woke up;

 

I was feeling great!

 

I thanked god for everything he has given me

 

Thanked god for giving me such lovely souls in my life (sat sangat)...

 

Most of all thanked god for giving me a Guru in this life...

 

 

Jaspal Jee & Naamjeevan Jee.  I want to celebrate my 30th with the sangat! What friday can we do this?  Just want to do simran and a little get to together....

 

Hope everyone can come...I would like that.

cruelty is far from God.
Killing is not a true deed.

Killing in the name of religion in the name of God is the opposite of God.

Compassion for all living creatures brings love into our heart.  And Baba ji said that "only in a loving heart Truth(Sat Naam) can come and reside".

The very God the killer is trying to please, is in the living heart of every creature, He is the Life-force.

They are destroying the true temple of God by taking life, in the illusion that the ink and paper scriptures are the living God.

At the very core of the action in the video, the person doing the deed and the goat are just playing out their karma.  The belief system to make the killer do the deed is just a man-made story.  KARMA OVERRULES EVERYTHING.  We all reap what we sow.

 

Killing is not a good deed for us to do.

But eating meat is not bad.  Because once the animal is dead as per its karma with its killer, then food is just food.   Rituals are fake and relgious beliefs like this are just the blind leading the blind.

With guruji's kirpa we would like to share the following, that I am full of five thieves, egotistical full of anger, lazy at work, controller of kids, fearful of future, not very kind or compassionate to all the poor and needy in the world and just turn a blind eye to adverts, charieties and other requests.  That

I am thankful to Guru ji for showing me all of my weaknesses,  that I am am proud of my looks and my body with every glance and have to remind myself that it is all god's gift , not mine at all.   That I like to think that I am doing simran for longer hours, but in reality anm just falling asleep I think, that I sing on the vaja and ego thinks it is singing well and wants an audience and praise.  ThaTI send emails thinking i know something, but really i dont know anything ...meree math thoree raam, meree math thoree ram, meree math thoree ram.  ThatI should stay quite, try harder , do more simran see Satnaam kartapurakh in everything and stop trying to control things and just let things be.

 

That is the greatest expreince for Guru ji to show me all of my weaknessess, all of the black spots that need to still be cleaned up.  all the parts of the day that are still absorvbed in maya in forgeting satnaam kartapurakh.  That I lack enough love and devotion. As many drops as there are in the ocean is as many faults that I have.  but still with Guru ji;'s kirpa we have one power, the power of ardas and we pray to guru ji to always keep us humble and under his grace and to keep us moving forward rather than slipping back.  and that everyday seems much like the day before, same routine , same things happening againa dn again tha ti could drive a person mad, but with guru ji;s irpa within the sameness of everyday , there is achance to be better everyday, to be more humble, more kind more loving.  Its a crazy life we live, going round and round in the cycle of day, weeks and months and years and then to disappear like billions before us and billions yet to come.

 

In terms of spiritual expereinces, now and again we have been blessed with some glimpses over the last few months since we resolved to give daswand oftime and effort.   First couple of months were just very frustrating and god showed us we were coming in ego and fear and that was causing frustration.  then we relxed and let god do as He wanted.  sometimes we have felt amrit in our feet, in our hands and in our chest.  In our hands is almost every day, and hands have been on my inner laps.  And some healing must have happened as for the last few years we have had a little bit of urine that doesnt quite get expelled when urinating.  however after walking around it dribbled out into our underpants.  more annoying than anything else.  But since doing simran every day for the last few months that problem has gone away completely.   

 

Also the first expereince when i was wondering if i am just falling asleep, I had a dream/vision and saw my deceased cousin and was so happy to see him.  Then I remembered he had passed years before and said "but how can you be here?"  He replied, "You are in smadhi and our grandparents will be coming soon too."     My ggrandparents are in their 80s in Canada, so that got me worried. Then I prayed to god that I dont want to be channelling for my cousin or anyone as thats not my target.  since then he has not come back.  another we were playing SATNAAM from Baba ji's sangat and in our smadhi was sitting in a living room with some very relgious relatives of mine.  They were also listening to the same Satnaam, and I was so happy that they were open minded enough to listen to SATNAAM SATNAAM that my hand went up into ASAN and amrit went pouring towards them from the palm of the hand.

 

Several times I dont remember everything except that I have been crying at Baba ji's feet.

 

It doesnt seem like any of these things are very big in themselves, but looking back over the last few months, with guru jis kirpa my ANGER, irritability and trying to control kids and things has greatly reduced,  so much so that last coupleof weeks have been feeling a lot of love listening to WAHEGURU kirtan of Sant Niranjan singh ji.  Jus tmixing satnaam kartapurakh into it in our mind and feeling the love.

 

Even a week ago wife and younger daughter had a really massive tantrum/argument and there anger was triggereing my anger, but with Guru ji;s kirpa first took a deep breth, did ardas to Guru ji to keep anger at bay, then went and calmed them all down.  Normally i would have made it even worse.  Been praying for them everyday and their anger thieves have left and they have been very happy this week.

 

In the evenings i used to get frustrated so many things to do and kidsnot listening ot helping as much as i wanted, but now have accepted it is ablessing that i can bea slave to serve them, and just do ardas in my mind "Satguru ji may i make the sandwiches with your grace, may i wash up with your grace, you take care of everything."

 

Even yesterday  , sat down did kirtan with bothe children and it was very uplifiting, and i know the evenings are starting to be conquored too.

 

Every Friday in satsangat I feel lots of Amrit at the top of this head, like its being opened up and connected to the Light and that is all thanks to namjeevan ji and the Sat Sangat for creating such a holy sacred place, otherwise i never feel that.

 

The other morning I was sitting before simran and just thinking how lucky I am to have met great souls like Harmeet ji, Sweta Ji, Om Ji, Taranjeet and all of the satsangat.  really really great souls and at such a young age.

 

Every morning i look at of the window feel the fresh air in my lungs and thank the air for keeping this body going, and then thank the NAAM , SATNAAM for supporting the AIR.   Then thank the Rain and rivers for keeping this body alive and thankign SAT NAAM for supporting the Water and thank Great Mother Earth for supporting us all, giving us a chance to do bhagti, then thank SAT NAAM for supporting the Earth,

 

The greatest experince is being thankful, being a servant, feeling some love  and that is what Baba ji said to us from dayon eof meeting him, that all we have to do is beat our 5 thieves and desires.

value of education

Sant Iqbal Singh Ji from Akal Academy made some very interesting points about education.  He said in the West we have emphasis mostly on literacy i.e. learning the subjects, but what it lacks is values.  So it becomes merely intellectual.  And that unfortunately is respected in the West - the level of your education.  However, this is what Guru Nanak Dev ji described "par par gadee ladhiyaa" ..reading and reading one is merely loading up carts and carts of books.  It may boost our reputation and only increases our ego, it doesn't help us spiritually.  Infact, look at the invention of the nuclear bomb by highly intellectual scientists that was then dropped on Hiroshima killing a million people.  Even now many parents pay more for a private education to ensure better grades and hopefully higher paid jobs and more status in society.  None of them ever mentions what kind of person their child will turn out to be.  Egotistical perhaps?  And what happens to parents on seeing their children coming out with certifcates and titles?  Swelling up with pride.  Gathering any kind of knowledge which results in us increasing our ego is of absolutely no spiritual value, infact it is a curse for our soul.

 

Sant Ji then said that we need education backed with values, and that is what Gurbani says "vidia vicharee ta parupkaree"...contemplater of knowledge and selfless in service.

So whatever we learn is only of value if it removes our ego and makes us selfless in service to others.

 

Sant Ji finished off by saying that the highest knowledge was Divine Knowledge (BrahmGian) and that comes direct from God.

Those, whom the Creator Lord would destroy - first He strips them of virtue

Satnaam Satguru Satsangat ji,

whilst reading through Guru Nanak Ji's divine verses, the following line struck me

 

"ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਖੁਆਏ ਕਰਤਾ ਖੁਸਿ ਲਏ ਚੰਗਿਆਈ ॥੩॥ (417)

Those, whom the Creator Lord would destroy - first He strips them of virtue. ||3||"   SGGS 417

 

On one side we have SatGuru Ji's divine teachings that to be God's virtuous wife (GUNN-VANTI) we need to collect the 32 virtues and wear them as necklace to please our Husband, the Lord Himself.  So we strive to collect these virtues like kindness, forgiveness, humbleness and so on.   Also we know we are only capable of doing this because we have been blessed with Gurprasad - God's grace through our Guru.  And before even receiving the Grace (Gurprasad) in person from our Guru, we also know it only happened because God decided that it was time for our particular soul to come back to Him - so He Himself gave the order in His Royal Court (Dargah) and cast His favourable glance (NADAR) upon us. Here are the steps :

 

1) due to our accumulation of good deeds, God decided we would be saved and gave the order in God's court,

2) He Himself came to us in the form of the Guru at the time and place set by God Himself  ("Bhaag hoa gur-sant milaayaa"..Guru Ram Das ji).  

3) He Himself arranged all the opportunities for us to collect the 32 virtues (GUNNs) by arranging for us to have holy congregation (sat-sangat), divine email forums, divine websites, Gurdwaras to do service and so on,

4) when we are completely virtuous , He Himself takes us into His embrace as His wife (suhagan) and the wife forever (Sada Suhagan) - no chance of divorcing God! No chance of falling back into Maya's hands.

 

But, the opposite is also true.  How do some souls come to destruction?  It also starts with God's command and that is what Guru Nanak Dev ji is explaining to us.

 

"ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਖੁਆਏ ਕਰਤਾ ਖੁਸਿ ਲਏ ਚੰਗਿਆਈ ॥੩॥ (417)

Those, whom the Creator Lord would destroy - first He strips them of virtue. ||3||"   SGGS 417

 

Souls that have collected so many sins under the influence of maya are judged in God's royal court (Dargah) :

 

1) Due to the accumulation of bad deeds, God himself decides that they are to be destroyed and gives the order in God's court (DARGAH)

2) He Himself gives them opportunities to lose whatever few virtues they have left by doing more sins

3) He Himself comes in the form of the Destroyer (invader) to cut them down

4) He Himself sends them back down into lower lifeforms - and who knows who many thousands of years they will spend in transmigration, until they collect enough good deeds again and He himself decides to give them another chance.

 

 

This line from Guru Nanak Dev Ji shows how fortunate we all are that we are in a position to collect as many virtues as possible and finish our soul's journey.  It also explains why Baba Ji has always said that the ones who slander and then go on to slander Saints had that written as their destiny from before they were even born.  Due to all the sins they have accumulated in their previous lives and in the past of this life, God's command for them was to lose all their virtues and ultimately to be destroyed.

 

That is all I wanted to share with Guru's blessing, please forgive us for mistakes, but it shows how everything comes from God and virtues are the key on this path.  Lacking them we are destroyed, collecting them we become Dhan Dhan (blessed blessed).

 

For information , here is the full verse and little bit of history behind the verse - it is one of four verses by guru Nanak Dev Ji written about the invasion of Punjab by the Mughal Babar (collectively known as Babarbani).

 

"During the end of Guru Nanak's last journey Mughal invader Babar attacked Aimnabad (Saidpur). His troops slaughtered thousands of innocent civilians. Women and children were made captives and all their property looted.

 

In spite of his destructive role Babar is seen by Guru Nanak to have been an unwitting instrument of the divine Will. Because the Lodhi's had violated God's laws, they had to pay the penalty. Babar descended from Kabul as God's chosen agent, demonstrating the absolute authority of God and the retribution which must follow defiance of His laws. Guru Nanak's commentary on the events which he actually witnessed thus becomes a part of the same universal message. God is absolute and no man may disobey. His commands with impunity. Obey Him and receive freedom. Guru Gobind Singh Ji wrote "ridh sidh Sabh Moh Ha" meaning that these occult powers are nothing more than attachments.

According to Bhai Gurdas Ji , a blessed soul of the time of the earlier Gurus, Guru Nanak Dev Ji had a deep conversation with the Sidhs - Yogi Masters of these Powers and they showed him things like flying, turning invisble, walking on water and so on just to impress the "boy" Nanak.  The called him "boy" because they thought he was very young (compared to the very old age - another power) and therefore impressionable.   They then asked Guru Nanak Dev Ji to show them his powers.  Guru Nanak Dev Ji replied that even if he could move heaven and earth, it would still be nothing more than the passing of the clouds and without SATNAAM (God) there is nothing.

 

"O respected Nath(Head Man)! Please listen to the truth that I utter. 

Without SATNAAM I have no other miracle.

I may wear the clothes of fire and build my house in the Himalayas .

I may eat the iron and make Earth move to my orders.

I may expand myself so much that I could push the Earth.

I may weigh the Earth and the sky against few grams of weight.

I may have so much power that I push aside anybody just by saying so.

But without SATNAAM, all these powers are momentary like the Shadow of the clouds."

Then the holy men tried to use their Supernatural powers (Sidhees) again but they found they had all been taken away by God. They fell at the Guru's feet in humility and humbly asked to be blessed with the greatest gift of Naam - SatNaam.   While there is EGO we chase after desires, including desires for occult powers.  when there is no ego, then all that is left is the Truth - SAT NAAM.   Ask yourself, what would you rather have - all the created powers, or the Creator?

09:11 plz forgive us we moorakh has to confess today we went to that dog in hospital and there by ur grace we purchased suome gloucose drip and other medicines for her , but one thing was left "sanitizing spray to apply on small incursion wound caused for driping glouse and we asked the compunder he told us u purchase it afterwards then after all driping & all we went to VET she told us purchase that spray , we foll in maya said that we have applied bandage on her wound so seems nt neccessary and sarted thinking that she may be getting commision for all purchases so she is pressing us to buy that unneccessary product but actually it was our ego and mind telling us so please forgive this manmukh for so satnaam jee mein paapi moorakh aap bakshanhaare jee meri muj se mein nu maare jee

  my friend taught prisoners in a prison about positive thniking and so on

  she asked them what kind of things did your parents say to you when you grew up?

09:23 and they said there parents called them very bad things like "you'll grow up to be a criminal" or "they should have thrown you out with the afterbirth (placenta)"

 me: all these life, these children were told by parents and society they were bad, not worthy of love, useless, terrible people

  and it destroyed the inner child, and they started believing it, that they were bad and so that is what they became and ended up doing crimes and in prison

 me: if we tell children , even when they are naughty, that we love them very much, but we dont love their bad action. so for the bad action they have to make up for it by losing some tv time, or not getting a treat, then the child understands they are loved but they need to behave well.

  it is like that naughty child,
