My Friend, My Guru

He is my Mecca, my Hardwar
My Golden Temple,
My Bodhi Tree.

I place my head
on His holy feet,
I feel the Amrit energy
washing me -
inside,
This is my River Ganges.

Where ever He stands
is the West,
is the best place
to face
when I say the Holy Name.

And He stands
not in a far off land,
but closer than my hand
nearer than my breath
right inside my chest.

God sits upon His tongue
His supreme divine wisdom
is my Koran, my Gita,
my Bible, my Tora
my Guru Granth Sahib.

I wash my thoughts
with his holy words
my mind is cleaned
my sins are wiped
my load is lightened
He lifts me up
out of the dirt
hugs me close to His heart
never to depart:

My Friend, My Guru
Sat Naam Sat Guru
Sat Naam Tuhee-Tu
Sat Naam Sat Naam.

My Friend, My Guru
Living, Loving,
Giver of Everything
My Guru, My King
God inside a human skin.

Why worship demi-gods like Ganesha when you have Sat Naam? - http://satnaamparivaar.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/why-worship-demi-gods-like-ganesha-when.html

Guru Arjun Dev Ji wrote that , "Gur Jaisaa nahee ko dev- that no demi-god is equivalent to the God-Guru" and also "Brahmgiani khojeh mahesur  - even Shiva is searching for the BrahmGiani (God-Guru)."

Baba ji explained to us that Naam is the Infinite Divine Power of God that all of the demi-gods had and worshipped, but they never became 100% completely the same as God due to some desire to be worshipped.  Baba ji said the job of all the demi-gods was to connect the souls back to the Naam, the source, the same Source - Truth, that they were worshipping.  but, instead they got themself worshipped and hence did not complete the journey of their soul.   Baba ji said that one who does meditate only upon the Source, Truth - SatNaam,  will become the same as SatNaam, and that is what Baba ji and Dassan Dass ji have shown us right here, right now in the world.  And they do not ask us to worship their name, nor to worship any demi-god, nor to worship even the name of the Sikh Gurus, or Jesus but just to worship SATNAAM.

There is no need to worship any demi-god, or past Guru or prophet or to pray to them because they all came from the same source - Truth, SatNaam and if they completed their journey, they are now merged back ito the Source, Truth, SatNaam.   so when we say SatNaam, we are automatically remembering and callnig upon all those who have merged backinto SatNaam.

That is why in this sangat, some devotees whilst meditating upon SatNaam may have the blessed vision of Jesus (Parminder ji did), or Mohammed (Dr Swaraj ji did), or Guru Gobind Singh ji (Dassan Dass ji did) or Baba Nanak ji and and even visions of Baba ji and Dassan Dass ji (as we did).

The source of Ganesha ji is SatNaam,
the source of all Mantras is SatNaam,
the cause of our obstacles is our own past deeeds,
and only God-Guru's grace can undo what we have done.
Only SatNaam can overrule the Law of Karma He has established.

As we said we do not understand why people pray to Ganesha or chant their mantras if they have SatNaam.

Apologies if we have offended anyone.

God Bless All.

Have You Met God?

Paji: Sat Naam.  Can i ask you personal question. have you met GOD? through all this?

Preeto: Good question, when we hear "Sat Naam Sat Naam" inside ourself, then that is God saying to us, "I am here. I am with you. I am SatNaam." There is peace, there is love. That is enough for us. God bless you.  Sat Naam.

Paji:  OK I understand what you are saying as hearing "Sat Naam Sat Naam" is GOD for you....maybe it's for me too then...as that's what I hear ....and sometimes I hear "Sat Sat Sat Sat..."

I get confused because I am alone sometimes.

Do you experience Amrit Ras (divine bliss)?  Anhad Bani (divine music and divine words)?  Have you experienced "Jyoti Jyot samahi" (merging into the Divine Light)?  Have you merged into the Divine Light?

Or are you just satisfied and content with your mind  just repeating "Sat Naam"?

If we are following path of Truth, then I am only asking what is truthful.

Dust of your feet and the entire creation....lowest of the low - idiot.

Preeto:  We have experienced all of those things at times, but the greatest thing is just to have peace of mind and love for SatGuru Baba ji's lotus feet which have opened our heart. We don't go crazy going after experiences anymore.  We used to try so hard, and have experienced many things even if only once, but then we used to feel bad if we couldn't experience it again. We used to get frustrated and maybe even jealous of others who were experiencing it.   Pritam Anand Ji explained to us we only need to experience it once (eg Kundalini rising), God gives us a glimpse of Himself as our consciousness goes into Truth consciousness.  But ultimately we realised having desires for those experiences is just like any other desire, when it is fulfilled we get proud of our achievement, and when it remains unfulfilled, we get depressed.  Only with Baba ji's Kirpa have we been freed of that trap we got stuck in.  And realised that God was standing right infront of us in the form of Baba Ji's heart.   Then we were so thankful, and we just cherished Baba ji's lotus feet in our heart in our daily simran and after sometime our Samadhi started, our heart bloomed, our arms were raised, we realised why Baba Nanak Ji said that humility is the sweet, it is the foundation of all virtues.   Humility, being low, selfless, kind, sharing is the real experiences to go after whilst doing your Naam Simran.  Then ego of spiritual experiences doesn't trap you.

Paji: True...

guess peace of mind is greatest...

Sat Naam

Preeto:  What we realised with Baba Ji's blessings is that it is only our mind that is tormenting us, so our only aim has become to live in peace with our mind, and no matter what disturbance happens in our life, which then disturbs our mind, with Guru's blessings we always get back to peace.
After peace, the more we love and trust our Satguru then there is no limit of of love and humbleness inside our own heart that we start merging into God inside our heart (Samadhi).  But mostly day to day its all about living in peace with our mind by applying the divine wisdom of our Gurus.  God Bless You.

Sins Our cleaned When We Confess

Penji: satnaam jee

Penji: dandauth bandhna jee paji

Preeto: satnaam ji, dandauth bandhna ji

Penji: I was watching this programme banged up abroad yday

and the girl was trying to smuggle cocaine back into Britain from Argentina

but handed herself to the police and they let her go as she didn't have any previous record.

But, 2 years later the Argentinian police caught up with her.

I just thought after confessing she did wrong she still got punished.

Preeto: just because we confess doesn't mean we dont have to pay the price as well

Penji: but then I was thinking when Pita jee (Dassan Dass) says to us all your sins are clean now when we confess, how does that happen in an instant, why do we still have to face consequences?

Preeto: Baba Ji said that our sins are the "burden on our soul"

Dassan Dass ji gave the example we came into existence as a pure soul, a part of Sat Himself, and that always remains pure.  But around that is our soul body (also called astral body, or energy body, or sukhshum dehi).  Dassan Dass ji said it is like that was a pure white sheet, but due to our bad deeds over millions of lifetimes we have put black marks all over it.  They are talking about the karmic filth on our astral body.   The karmic filth that saturates our astral body is like the thick black clouds that block the sunshine.  Our astral body has 7 centres, which become blocked and soul energy (Amrit) is robbed by the five thieves.  Our mental, emotional and physical bodies then start to deteriorate.  Gurbani says without Naam a person becomes dried and withered.  When we are Eternally Blessed with GurParsaad of Naam and we surrender to our SatGuru and do our simran, good deeds and start confessing our past deeds and asking for forgiveness, we are cleaning up our astral body of all the karmic filth – janam janam kee mayl – filth of lifetimes, as Gurbani calls it.  Baba Ji said that only SatNaam – Truth – can remove the burden on our soul.  All other ways are less than what Naam can do.  What it means is that as per God's Laws, Hukam, we have to pay the price of what we have done   - suffer the consequences, and no one and no meditation technique can overrule His Law of Karma.  Only God Himself can overrules His own Law and save us from facing all the consequences of what we have done.  And that happens through His Grace upon us, when He takes the form of the SatGuru and gives us His Naam which cleans us up.

So even having been forgiven and are now doing good deeds and Naam simran, our physical body is still  running under the laws of society (to make things fair for everyone – rules and punishments) and nature (ages, deteriorates, sickness, death).

Preeto: SadhGuru has met lots of prisoners in South India who on being blessed by Him have become internally free and forgiven by God, but still their physical body is locked up in prison for the rest fo their worldly sentence.

Penji: yeh true

Preeto: Or you could be like this super rich couple we saw who owned a mansion with hundreds of acres in the UK, never went out, had high security because they were so worried they'd get robbed/attacked/kidnapped etc.  They have locked themselves up physically as well as locked up inside by their mind logic in the cage of fears and worries and attachment to their wealth and body.

Penji: yeh that is also true

Preeto: freedom is from maya, freeing your mind from the web of maya.  That is what Satguru ji's grace does for us when we sincerely try to clean up the karmic filth by confessing and asking for forgiveness on a daily basis in our ardas, or more powerfully in the email sangat.

When your mind is free, then it doesn't matter to you where your physical body is, or what is happening to it.

Penji: yep very true

Preeto: all of  the Gurus and Bhagats were free inside, clean white sheet, but still many were punished by the society around them.

Penji: yes

Preeto: Guru's grace and forgiveness frees us from the burden on our soul, but we still have to go through whatever we have to around us as per the time and place and society we are living in.  When we are anchored in Naam, when SatNaam saturates our heart, then we go through life  without fear.  It's only because of fear of what will happen to us, or what people will think of us, that we hide our sins.

Penji: yes very true

Preeto: so then we never are free inside.  So we have to confess, ask for forgiveness, clean up by doing simran and seva.  We have no fear of what happens around us because we have been forgiven by God-Guru, even if not by society.

Penji: yes

Preeto: only what God thinks of us matters in the end.  So make peace with Him and He helps us to face society rather than what most of us do which is try to keep society happy and have no peace with God inside us.  Then we are the biggest loser in the end as 5 thieves steal all of our divine energy (Amrit) and the couriers of death takes us in their noose.

Penji: yes and we live a lie and then we regret

Preeto: "Ram simar tu pachtaaigaa - remember God else you will regret" - Guru Tegh Bahadur ji

Penji: jee yes

Preeto: Dassan Dass ji taught us from the beginning to always keep God, Guru and Sangat as your highest priority in life.

Penji: yes

Preeto: dont let anything else become more important than that - even for a moment, even though you may think, "right now its really important for me to find a job", or "do my exams" or whatever  and then you give up simran and seva and jump in 100% into maya (chasing desires) thinking its ok.

Penji: yeh

Preeto: but heart closes up really quickly and mind tightens its grip and its really hard to get free again.

Penji: yeh it does happen so quick

Preeto:  So people dont trust God and Guru fully and instead think "I" (ego) have to sort this out

Penji: yeh

but always remember real success is becoming one with Satnaam

that is the purpose of this life

the number 1 reason we are here, but still we have some outer work to do

so instead of forgetting God and Guru

do ardas, "satnaam satguru ji, please guide me to do the outer work as pleases you."

"keeta loreeaa kumn so har paay aakheeaa

karaj deh savaar satguru kee sach saakeeaa"

-whatever tasks you need to do, tell them to God.

He will take care of them , this is the truth the Satguru tells.    – Gurbani.

Penji: yes paji thank you

you always make so much sense to me

Preeto: its the Truth

to stay humble

to serve others

to always be a giver

forget about getting

to be true to SatNaam SatGuru

even if the mind is trying to make us fear

being poor, unpopular, sick or whatever

then we pass through all the tests

Baba Nanak - "ith marag payr dareeja sir deejay kahn na keejay –

stepping on this path and giving your head, dont look back , dont bother what what others say"

Penji: yes

Preeto: just dive into satnaam 100% and trust He will take care of your worldy tasks

Penji: thanks for your kind words and divine wisdom jee

Preeto: satnaam

dandauth bandhna ji

Penji: satnaam jee

RE: [SatNaam Parivaar] Eat what suits your body

Satnaam Ji,

Very good article. I read something a while back of how cooking food kills all the digestive enzymes in the food which them makes your body have to use it's own supply of enzymes making it work twice as hard to digest food.
Since then i started eating a lot more un-cooked food throughout the day...as many fruits and vegetables and a normal cooked meal in the evening, and it's made a huge difference in how i feel :)
you can also get digestive enzyme supplements that help your body digest heavy cooked food.

SatNaam Baba Ji talking in Punjabi to Sangat - 31 Sep 2012

SatNaam SatGurParsaad.

Before and after receiving Naam

PREETO: Satnaam D, Can you describe the difference you have felt on receiving Naam recently from Dassan Dass ji via email?
Newcomers always ask us these kind of questions when wondering why they need to be blessed, so your answers will be interesting to share with others as well.
1) how was your meditation before you came to the website?

D:  i didn't know anything about the naam.
i meditated for 20 years but didn't know about the naam.

PREETO: 2) how was it when you started reading the website and just started doing satnaam?
D: well, it got better and i could tell i was making a higher connection and after reading the book, a lot of the questions i had about life were answered.

PREETO: 3) how is it now you have been blessed?
D: it just really help me to feel a part of god and to have the naam in my heart from the guru.

thanks.
