sometimes we can't forgive until we face the truth. We cant put in good qualities until we have pulled out the thorns. We had some issues with a past spiritual mentor who cheated us. Baba ji told us to write down everything wrong they did, down to every penny they stole. Baba ji told a lady who had been raped three times by various people including fake giani at the gurdwara, told her she needs to let out her whole story then let it go. Sounds like with your sister too, you have alot of things to let out before you can let go and forgive. That is part of telling the truth. Satnaam M Ji. We had similar situation with parents and elder sister. We kept things inside for all our life while they continued to express their disappointments pretty much our whole life. Baba Ji told us that we need to let it all out and feel free to break things if we need to. With baba jis blessing we spoke our heart out and let out all the anger we held in for 20 plus years. Had to do it 3-4 times. They are quiet now and we feel free to live our life rather than trying to please them which was useless anyways because they were never happy with us.
