When He sings - Poem

We found some old handwritten poems we wrote with Baba ji's bessings from a few years ago, we have typed them up and put them together:


When He Sings

There's a smile on my face
a joyous feeling is brewing
at just knowing
that he's coming.

There's a silent message 
in the air,
through the leaves, 
through my hair,
the feeling that he's near,
that he's here,
that he's here.

Just singing his songs
outreached arms giving hugs
laughing and sharing
spreading the love.

When he sings
we sing along
to the sound 
of his sacred song,
It brings us peace
It makes us calm
Sat Naam Sat Naam
Sat Naam Sat Naam.

I bow to him,
my Guru, my King
Sat Naam Sri Guru.
Sri Guru Love Guru
Love Guru All is You
Sri Akal Sat Naam .

Love is inside him,
Love is all around,
When he smiles
Love abounds.

I cherish his words
deep in my heart,
His light shines
my darkness departs,

"Without You" - Brand new video and song in english by Preeto

SatNaam

With Baba Ji's kirpa and all of sangat's financial support, we have spent the last year developing songs that come from our heart in praise of SatGuru.  It has been a long journey as we are not a musician so has taken alot of time and effort to find the right people.

The first video and song is here



By the end of the year there will be 13 songs in the album "Longing For Sat Naam".  We plan to release 4 songs at a time every 3-4 months as mini-albums as they are finalised.

This will be freely available to everyone for downloads on the internet, and hopefully will appeal to english speaking Truth-seekers.  Already the singers and muscians and video producers who have helped us have all said they feel really calm afterwards,  so its all Baba Ji's kirpa in these words.

Some thoughts


Satnaam

Be positive about what we do,
Rather than negative about what others are doing.

Ego has opinions about everyone and everything, o ego I have listened to your nonsense all my life, so no more, I have no more energy to waste thinking over and over about this and that, whatever time I have left in the world, I will just wash everyone's feet in my heart with love -satnaam, satnaam,satnaam.

The party

All my senses keep me absorbed in the outside world, loud music, bright lights, tasty food, perfume smells good, intoxicating drinks, a lover's touch while dancing. All the senses are bombarded at a party. Just to create a feeling of  happiness inside.  Better to still the senses and go inside, but without satnaam Satguru's grace, people only see darkness.  But with satnaam there is truth,love and devotion, kindness and compassion, divine light and gurbani to melt our heart.

It's not other people who are bad company for us, it's the company of the five thieves that destroys us.  So give the sangat of five thieves and desires, and keep only the company of the truth - satnaam inside your heart.

Ik sang joree sabh sang thoree
Joining with the company of one god, I broke with all other company.
-gurbani.

So part company with your five thieves and desires and you can keep company of the so called worst people in society and be unaffected by them. Intact, by you keeping sangat of one satnaam in your heart, you will transform them.

It's not that I don't have desires any more, its just my desire is inward for living in the love of satnaam, singing his praise, loving his lovers, serving him in one and all.  It's only the desires due to unfulfilled worldly wishes which keep you in the outward chase and hence a slave of Maya getting slapped with pain after pain.

It's not that I tried to overcome the fear of death and disease by being macho like a soldier fighting against them.   Its just that I have put all my faith into the guru and hold onto his lotus feet with love in my heart- satnaam.  Love replaced the fear.  Nirbhau means satnaam is fearless. 0% fear =100% love.

It's not that I am not a Sikh, it's just that I am a devotee of Truth, satnaam, and no longer a follower of man-made religion which divides people into pride of their tribe and hatred of those outside.

Its not that I divide my day into time for god, time for wife, time for job, time for kids.  God is the blood running through my veins, the amrit running through my astral body, satnaam is my very lifeforce, the petrol that lets this car drive the wife, the kids and do the job.

All thanks to satguru, who told us that love is in us and all around us and that is where these divine thoughts come from, by his loving kindness, like a mother feeding her child one spoonful at a time with love in her heart and no thought about her own hunger.

Brahmgiani ka bhojan gian.
Brahmgiani ka naam dhian.
The divine wisdom is food for the saint.
The divine name is what the saint is surrendered to.

Sat Naam


I have been struck 
in the heart
by his look of grace,
it has penetrated
the rock inside my head,
turned it into the dust
of his holy feet,
Sat Naam Sat Naam Sat Naam. 

He has smiled
and Sat Naam has
beamed through his eyes
right inside
the darkest corners
of my mind,
and seeing the filth
inside of me
tears gush like a waterfall
with which I 
wash his holy feet,
Sat Naam Sat Naam Sat Naam.

I have been struck
in the heart
by his look of grace,
why he took pity on me
an ant at his feet
I don't know,
for there is nothing 
good about me,
better he stepped
on a sinner like me
but he reached down
and pulled me out
of the deep, dark well
and hugged me to
his chest
and gave me a place
inside his heart,
forever keep me
as the dust of the dust
of his holy feet.

I have been struck
in the heart
by his look of grace,
he holds the strings
and makes us dance,
he laughs and the
whole universe reverberates
with joy and happiness,
O don't make the mistake
thinking he looks like
you and me,
for in his hands
are the sun and moon
the whole universe
sings to his tune.
He hugged me to
his chest
and gave me a place
inside his heart
forever keep me
as the dust of the dust
of his holy feet.

I have been struck

tears stream down
my pain is released,
my filth is washed
my heart is free,
my head forever
pressed on his holy feet,

Attachments And Fear

Satnaam

Preeto:  people seem to want Baba ji to be like a big cuddly teddy bear who gives them comfort, but dont like it when tests come. Then they try to control or change the outside situation or override Baba Ji, instead of overcoming their fears and worries.

Pritam Anand: Dhan Dhan guru gobind singh out of 80,000 and only 5 came forward, tests only shake and check the faith.

Everyone wants to go out but one step outside the door and one wants to return inside the door because of attachments.

Everyone want to go in another boat but one step in next boat but don't want to leave the person sitting in this boat. 

Everyone wants to see Satnaam ji but one hand towards satnaam ji and another one holding whole worldly things too.

So all is attachments that create fear.

Just cut all the knots from inside and tie the knot with satnaam ji.

We go with baba ji in car and baba ji always ask where you want to go we always say, "whichever side you like baba ji, car steering in your hands."
