doing sangat here is great getting the divine wisdom and putting in to practice is very important, but sitting in long sessions is more important than anything else you do
your early morning simran is really very important for your spiritual uplift
your mind will go in to total peace only when you sit in long sessions of simran, and please don't count and think that 2.5 hrs of simran is fine, as more simran will help you a lot more
don't waste your time in writing unnecessary and long messages, be short and concise in your messages, share your experiences openly, state your state of mind openly, if you feel like crying do so, never hold anything back and hide, focus on confessions, stay in humbleness, be kind and forgiving, listen to gurbani not kirtan that much, that will help you understand the play of divinity
listening to gurbani has helped us a great deal, focus on the shabd you read or hear, go deep in to it, it will take you in to mansarovar itself, focus on each word of the shabd, don't just look for sound music only go deeper inside the shabd
you can also play gurbani in background when you sit for meditation at a low volume
again not kirtan but gurbani, which is available in 2 CDs now, put the CD in your car while driving you can listen to it - (or download as single MP3 file from https://app.box.com/shared/0vcogiq9x4 )
for folks who can't read gurmukhi listening to gurbani will help a great deal
lot of the suhagans from past sangat failed because they never listened to gurbani, they didn't understand how divinity works, they slipped away in to darkness as they saw and experienced power, then they thought they are done and don't need the satguru anymore, they can do it by themselves and turned their back on their satgurus
as your simran goes higher you will start to understand gurbani more and more and so you will start enjoying it more and more, it will pierce your hirda and eventually it will ring in your rom rom
everyone should listen to entire gurbani several times in a year
when you are home you can keep playing gurbani in the house
it generates positive vibrations and keeps the environment clean, and it will help you by keeping your surat in gurbani during that period of time
you will notice that when gurbani starts your surat gets attracted right there ar the same time and it remains there as long as gurbani is being played
you will not be able to imagine how much amrit is contained in gurbani, it is incredible, infinite bliss contained in it, start listening to it right away, it will take your bandgi to a new dimension
then you will start to know how what is written in gurbani is happening to you in all physical senses
