we do not know much about Hinduism, so excuse our ignorance, but why do we need to call upon Ganesha via the Mantras to remove our obstacles? Who does Ganesha call upon? Who is Ganesha's creator?
Guru Arjun Dev Ji wrote that , "Gur Jaisaa nahee ko dev- that no demi-god is equivalent to the God-Guru" and also "Brahmgiani khojeh mahesur - even Shiva is searching for the BrahmGiani (God-Guru)."
Baba ji explained to us that Naam is the Infinite Divine Power of God that all of the demi-gods had and worshipped, but they never became 100% completely the same as God due to some desire to be worshipped. Baba ji said the job of all the demi-gods was to connect the souls back to the Naam, the source, the same Source - Truth, that they were worshipping. but, instead they got themself worshipped and hence did not complete the journey of their soul. Baba ji said that one who does meditate only upon the Source, Truth - SatNaam, will become the same as SatNaam, and that is what Baba ji and Dassan Dass ji have shown us right here, right now in the world. And they do not ask us to worship their name, nor to worship any demi-god, nor to worship even the name of the Sikh Gurus, or Jesus but just to worship SATNAAM.
There is no need to worship any demi-god, or past Guru or prophet or to pray to them because they all came from the same source - Truth, SatNaam and if they completed their journey, they are now merged back ito the Source, Truth, SatNaam. so when we say SatNaam, we are automatically remembering and callnig upon all those who have merged backinto SatNaam.
That is why in this sangat, some devotees whilst meditating upon SatNaam may have the blessed vision of Jesus (Parminder ji did), or Mohammed (Dr Swaraj ji did), or Guru Gobind Singh ji (Dassan Dass ji did) or Baba Nanak ji and and even visions of Baba ji and Dassan Dass ji (as we did).
The source of Ganesha ji is SatNaam,
the source of all Mantras is SatNaam,
the cause of our obstacles is our own past deeeds,
and only God-Guru's grace can undo what we have done.
Only SatNaam can overrule the Law of Karma He has established.
As we said we do not understand why people pray to Ganesha or chant their mantras if they have SatNaam.
