US billionaires pledge 50% of their wealth to charity
Great is the charity that you give and ask for no glory. A nameless donor is better
than a proud one. All the people that you have trashed on the way up, you can't undue
those deeds by giving dollars away. The one who give in charity to clear their guilt
are mistaken. You can't clear your conscience with giving away in charity,
you cant buy peace of mind. All of your giving is not even to one drop of blood of Jesus,
because whereas you give dollars, he gave himself. Giving is good though, but giving yourself
to the One who created you and wealth is the greatest surrender. Give not for your own
glory and pride, give to glorify Him and see Him in each one who is receiving the charity.
Serve Him by serving the Creation. Glorify His Name - Truth - SatNaam, and remain nameless
yourself. Dont think about your legacy and how people will remember you, just remember
Him - the Truth and forget about yourself.
Only the fools want glory even in charity. Charity that feeds your pride is not true charity, its just a way to wash your guilt, but unfortunately it doesn't undo your past deeds. Only meditation on Truth - SatNaam - will do that.
However, by giving it is still helping the poor and needy and that is a good deed. But giving without pride is the greatest deed for your soul
There is a doctor in Toronto who sold his house and practisc and opened a charity in the third world where he lives in a small hut and serves the sick and needy. He has surrendered himself and is now on the Sant Marg.
