What does "practise the guru's words" mean?

QN:

I was reading the front page of the website and its says practise guru's words by that does it means that we should follow the path of god,by speaking truth and by loving everyone or it means something else please explain.

RELPY:
satnaam ji - dandauth bandhna ji

aim of life is to become Gurmukh - this means to become the Guru's Words.  To take what is in Gurbani and what is said by the Sant and become the living , walking , talking , breathing words of the Guru.  so there is no difference between your actions and whatever you read in gurbani.  When we become like that then become full of good qualities - Gun.  And only then can God - the Gunni Nidhana - the tresure house of Gun, come and reside within us.  First we have to clean up our mind and heart, then pure can come to pure.    The Guru's words are the words of God, they have come from the Highest Consciousness - Truth Consciousnees - SAT.
When we live by them we are doing Truth, when we meditate upon them and on SAT Naam, we are focusing on Truth.

All is explained in Sukhmani katha, so please start reading, but do keep asking questions, as we have to deal with all our questions and doubts before we can move onto firm faith, love and devotion.  So even this is the beginning of your bhagti.  So that is already a blessing for you.

distant healing / sangat

Sat Naam ji - Dandauth Bandhna Ji,

every Friday we are blessed enough to be able to have Sadh Sangat in Milton Keynes.
We are aware though that many of the Sangat on this forum are all over the world and cannot physically attend.
But as this is a spiritual path that is not a problem.
As Dassan Dass Ji has often said to devotees who want to meet Him, that "the physical meeting is as per destiny, but the
spiritual meeting happens as soon as you do your Naam Simran."

So we would to let the web sangat know that we do Naam Simran in the Sangat at UK time from about 8.30 pm to 9.30pm every Friday.
So please do your Ardas and join us spiritually at this time.
Just close your eyes, put on some relaxing music/gurbani etc.
You may like to try this (its what we do when we close our eyes):
Imagine that Dassan Dass ji, Baba Ji and the GurSangat are all sitting with you.
Then wash everyone's feet in your mind "Haumai nahee tuhee tu ..no ego only you".
Go around each person and really feel you are washing their feet until you feel love and then move onto the next person.
Then just do your Naam Simran in your third eye or your Hirdha (heart chakra) or in each of your Chakras and go around until you feel they open like a flower.

Even if you cant make this exact time, please sit whenever you do get time and go through the above.

For our part, we will do ardas in the sangat to share all the Amrit in the Sangat to be sent to all the distant Sangat as well.

Remember God is beyond time and space - Akaal.
It is just the intention/ardas of us sharing it you and your intention/ardas to receive it that is important.
So it doesnt matter if you are physically away from us or even tune in at a different time.

We have done this before with the sangat that were learning Reiki and it worked very well.

So please do join in tonight and email us how you felt.

Re: Fwd: : confusions

SatNaam Paramjit Ji,
thankyou for your email, we hope you read the reply from Dassan Dass Ji and found it useful.
However, it may have made you more annoyed and frustrated.
We have had  alot of anger issues over the last few years, but with Dassan Dass Ji's blessings we have managed to work through them.
Always remember veer ji that you are the soul, the jyot and that is always perfect divine light.
Remember you are not your anger or your hatred.  dont let that define you asa bad person.
Once you start feeling you are a bad person then it gets easier to carry on getting worse and worse.
Just remember these thoughts and actions of hate and anger are due to the 5 thieves which ar ein all of us and which torment all of us if we follow them
but due to your past blessings you have been blessed enough to come to a soul that can pray and help pyou through this time.

So please do not get offeneded by any reply sent to you.

As well as forgiving others for what they have done to you - whcih you will find very difficult - but not impossible, also remember to FORGIVE yourself.  You are the soul, not the body, you have so much goodness and light in you.  See yourself from the point of view of your wife and children and others who love you.  See that they are with your for your good qualities.  remind yourself you are loved, forgive yourself and everytime you get angry or hateful thoughts just do ardas "Satguru ji please forgive us and also i forgive myself.  I am the soul not this hate and anger."

You can fight your way out like this ji.

God bless you, keep on emailing us and telling us the problems and mistakes you are having.

worst thing is to keep it inside and to let it boil up and take control.

so keep releasing it as you have done.

we have added you to our web email group as well.

GURU PYARE P JEE GOD BLESS YOU WITH SATBUDHI. WHAT YOU ARE DOING WITH YOUR WIFE IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG, YOU ARE LIVING AS A SLAVE OF ANGER. YOUR SEVA WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE AS LONG AS YOU ARE FULL OF HATRED FOR YOUR WIFE AND HER PARENTS. SHE IS DOING NOTHING WRONG BY CARING FOR HER PARENTS. WE COMMEND HER FOR HER PATIENCE FOR TAKING SO MUCH HATRED FROM YOU AND STILL LIVING WITH YOU. SHE IS A GOOD SOUL BASICALLY AND YOU NEED TO RESPECT HER AS MUCH AS YOU RESPECT YOUR GURU, YOU NEED TO LOVE HER AS MUCH AS YOU LOVE YOUR GURU. SHE LIES TO YOU BECAUSE YOU BECOME A TERROR FOR HER, HER INTENTIONS ARE NOT BAD, YOUR INTENTIONS ARE NOT GOOD. YOU NEED TO ASK FOR HER FORGIVENESS, YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOURSELF, AND HELP HELP HER INSTEAD ABUSING HER. YOU NEED TO LOVE HER PARENTS AS MUCH AS YOU LOVE YOUR OWN PARENTS, YOU NEED TO LOVE HER PARENTS AS MUCH AS YOU LOVE YOUR GURU. SHE DESERVES TO LIVE IN YOUR HEART AND NOT UNDER YOUR FEET. ANGER NEEDS TO GO UNDER YOUR FEET, YOUR HATRED AND ALL BAD QUALITIES NEED TO LEAVE YOU, YOU NEED TO WORK ON THIS RIGHT AWAY. WE WILL REALLY APPRECIATE IF YOU DO ALL THIS THEN ONLY YOUR NITNEM AND SIMRAN HAS ANY MEANING, THEN ONLY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WALK ON THIS PATH OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, TRUST AND DEVOTION. YOU ARE NOT A AMRITDHARI, AN AMRITDHARI IS A PURAN BRAHAM GYANI A PURAN SANT. YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO WALK ON THIS PATH BUT ARE FAILING MISERABLY DO TO ALL THIS ANGER AND HATRED INSIDE YOU AND THAT TOO FOR YOUR WIFE. PLEASE LET US KNOW WHAT YOU DO AFTER READING THIS MESSAGE. THEN WE WILL ADVISE YOU FURTHER, BUT FORST OF ALL YOU NEED TO SPIT ALL THIS ANGER AND HATRED FOR YOUR WIFE OUT AND ASK FOR AN APOLOGY FROM YOUR HIRDA TO HER, UNLESS SHE FORGIVES YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE ANYTHING.

Fateh,

How do I go about joining the forum?

Phaji, I have a question which I'd like to get your view on (if you have time):

I've seen a trend recently where people (sangat or youngsters) literally take the concept of 'god in everyone' to the extent where they will stop believing in Puran Sant Mahan Purash because they think they can get salvation using the meditation tool "Kundalini Yoga" with a "mantra" (doesn't have to be Waheguru), to work the Chakras and open the Dasam Duar, and get Ridyain/Sidyain; believing this is what Sants did to get where they are. If this is the case, again, this is with Wahegurus hukam correct?

Sat Naam Amarvir Ji,

we will send you a link to join.

Firstly, the thing is that in a dark room the blind lead the blind.  The ones who havent conquored ego lead the ones who dont want give up ego.  But we are all on a journey and if that is the stage there soul is at, then they have to work through it.  so by trying it out at least they learn something about spirituality.  Even hitting a dead end or finding ridhi-sidhis are a distraction or finding that their dassam duar didnt actually open even after years of trying those technqiues, whatever they do they will learn something.  so who are we to stop anyone, and people dont want to listen until they are ready anyway.  so we pray for everyone - sarbatt da bhalaa.

Best thing we have found is ik oankaar satnaam gurparsaad ...one god named Truth realised by the Eternal Blessings.

As simple as that.

Pray for the gurParsaad.  In this dark room we cant open the door only god's grace can.

GurParsaad is everything.

With GurParsaad everything we do bears fruit.  So having GurParsaad even doing yoga we get results, having GurParsaad chanting any mantra gives results.  Without GurParsaad everything we do is just like a doing chasing his tail.

Best thing is to always pray for others, go on our own path as we feel is right inside, pray for gurParsaad which we get through God sittin gin His full radiant glory in the enlightened heart.  ThatHirdha is called a Sant, that ignites the Jyot that is dormant with in us, then when we do our seva and simran that jyot gets bigger and bigger whilst wshing away our karmic filth.

The GurParsaad is the inner rope - Dori - that leads us to the Divine Light.

The Sant Hirdha that blesses us, ignites us, is the rope.  and everytime, each and everyimte we do our simran then the Sant is with us in the form of god's light.

This path is so simple and so easy, bhai lehna ji showed us how to be devoted to our Guru.

Healing and SatNam Rasayan

Sat Naam Ji - Dandauth Bandhna Ji,

thankyou for this link, what a kind soul Guru Dev Singh Ji is.
We did read one of his books about 15 years agao about Satnam Rasayan - his healing method blessed by yogi bhajan ji but we had no idea at that time what he was talking about - about creating a space and healing within that.  But watching his video now we could relate to what he was saying to what we expereince when doing reiki/amrit in the sangat.

We need to have dealt with our own mental issues, get blessed with GurParsaad, clean up our mind.  There are three parts of the mind that map to the three parts of Maya - rajo , sato and tamo.  Most people are running under tamo and rajo as explained by Dassan Dass ji on the website - see glossary.   All of this kind of behaviour is worse than animalistic behaviour.  With guru ji's kirpa when we start living in the Sato part, then we start doing good deeds, reduce our bad deeds.  We start doing seva nd simran and this cleans us up inside.  We start becoming more caring and compassionate towards other.   Baba ji says T-L-C
, Truth - Love - COmpassion.    Compassion brings in love and in a loving heart God (Truth) can reside.

So we can only become compassionate towards other once we have come out of our animalistic consciousness - "me and mine" "grab and run", "tooth for a tooth, eye for an eye" kind of attitude.

Then when we learned reiki, we found it was the same as getting the blessings, we felt lots of amrit and energy in our heads , in our heart in our head.  Practising reiki and teaching it over the years has made us much more compassionate towards others, to the point we dont even want to be recognised or be paid etc for it - even that was rajo & tamo for us.

so what happens now when we do reiki on someone is we do ardas, bring Baba ji into it, bring SatNaam into it and ask them to use us for healing the other for the highest divine good.  and remember healing doesnt always mean physically they get better, because sometimes death is unavoidbale, but healing of the stress and fears and tensions caused by the 5 thieves running that person.  also filling them and cleaning them at so many levels with reiki and amrit.

All reiki/Amrit can only flow when "me and mine" - the rajo and tamo parts of our mind are out of the way and we are in the sato part of the mind - which is to think good of others.  But even Sato part is still under maya.  but we start their  by being compassionate and caring - and not becoming sad at seeing someones suffering , or becoming scraerd or anxious at seeing somones suffering.  No, that takes our mind back into rajo/tamo - no good.  Being in that state of mind and trying to help another is like jumping in to save a drowning man and being drowned yourself.

so we stay compassionate, bring in satguru and satnaam - God created this body and He HIMSELS if the healing within it - that is what Baba ji told us.

So as we do our simran we go fromSato - compassion, and start merging into God.  We start going into a deeper state, but feeling fully aware of it.  Jut keep doing simran.   So this deeper state is what I think Guru Dev ji means by "shuniya", but in gurbani is proably calleed "sunniya"  and what Dassan Dass ji has told us is the highest state of Sunn Samadhi.  although in true Sunn Samadhi there is no thoughts - Sunn = complete silence of mind i.e. no mind i.e. just pure divine light.  Jyot replaces the mind ..e munn thoo jyot saroop ha apapnaa mool peychaan ...o my mind you are the essence of divine light - recognise your origin ...guru amar das ji.

So going into this samadhi state where we are still aware is called Shuniya by Guru Dev Ji , but proabaly what we call just Samadhi as we are still aware of what is going on.   This is what Guru Dev Ji called the "neutral mind" - being in Sato is the neutral mind.  Then that is the springboard into samadhi.  In Samadhi we just pray to Baba ji whilst doing simran and reciting whatever verse of gurbani comes to ur mind.  but we imagine the love and light, the amrit/reiki going to the person in front of us, going into their chakras and openeing them up, healing and so on.   We think Guru Dev Ji would be calling this the "projective meditative mind".  where we are in deep meditation - in that Smadhi state, but projecting healing images and thoughts for the other person.

Even beyond that, we feel the other person is not separet from us, they come intou our heart ..actually into baab ji's heart as we give him all the healing to do, He is the healer of healers we are just like a wax candle, He is the light.  So we bring the healing into the heart and wash the person with a blanket of love.  We never think it us who is healing them, we always pass it to Baba ji.
Baba ji always says GIVE ME YOUR DUKH because a Sant live to drink our pain and to give us Amrit.

We are not a Sant and if we tried to do healing or take anyones dukh, we would not be able to bear all of that.
But Baba ji is like the Ocean of Light and just like water , washes away all the dirt and remains clean itself.

also we are aware there must be much deper levels of healing because Dassan Dass Ji and Baba ji are healing us at very deep and karmic levels everytime we say Sat Naam inside us.

But thisis as much as we understand so far.
Dont really know if you can understand any of this without actually trying to do some healing and expereincing it for yourself.  Just like when we read that book 15 yrs ago and it made no sense to us.

Sat Naam Veer Harjitji,

I happend to come across this video on 'healing and shuniya'. I found it to be interesting in regards to healing. Could you please explain further on this modality of 'projective meditative mind' (state of shuniya). The video is very concise. Maybe you can explain more in detail.

Healing and Shuniya

Guru Dev Singh the healer talks about how we can heal through understanding out interconnectedness. He also talks about how you can't have compassion if you have anxiety yourself. It is through becoming completely objective (shuniya) that we can heal others.

Become Sukhmani

Sat Naam Ji
Dandauth Bandhna Ji,

After reading the Sukhmani explanation you may be motivated to start working on yourself.  Dassan Dass Ji has always stressed its not enough to just READ Sukhmani (Paath Parna), but to BECOME Sukhmani (Paath Karna).   In this section we have assembled all the practical tips given by Dassan Dass ji in the Sukhmani explanation.  Try and work through them at your own pace, moving onto the next one when you are ready.  If you are going to seriously try and do these then please email us and join our web sangat (Truth group) where we help each other.

Re: [Truth] Dissolution of the Ego

satnaam ji
its all thanks to guru ji for their kindness, we are jut the go-between, whatever
we receive in the left hand we try and pass on through the right hand.
whatever gyna we understand from Dassan Dass ji we try to pass onto the website.
But in ourself we are trying to be nothing better than a pipe that transfers the water.
Thankyou for all of your kindness.

In regards to your question , only Dassan dass ji and gurbani can tell us how they dissolved ego.
Anyone else who tries to answer the question is still speaking fro mwithin ego.
all we know is that ego cant beat ego.  That if we keep on following our own wisdom, even
wisdom we have gathered from relgious books and so on, we still cant beat ego (have tried !!!).
What we have leant is that the one on the outside- the outer Sant/Guru can tell us what to do,
and as long as we do it - however hard it is, we can start battling the ego - because when
we have Seva to do of our Sant, then all resistance we feel is the thorn of ego.
So that is the first step, find a Sant, give your head, dedicate yourself into their service.
all resistance highlights how thick our ego is.
so then pray for it to be removed, keep seriving, keep feeling the resistance, keep praying to our sant
to forgive us and bless us and keep moving forward.
The best way to get rid of ego is to think about something else other than ourself.
So falling in love with our Sant's lotus feet, serving others as Sat Sangat to a point were we even see only our Sant in
each of them, see our Sant in the sun and moon, see our Sant in the wind and trees, feel the the Sant in each and every thought,
that is the easiest and best way.

The way of devotion.
Dassan Dass ji writes:

Sachee Shardha
True devotion.  True devotion, Sachee Shardha, is a very important and mandatory requirement in our Bandgi process.  Our dedication and surrender is not complete without this divine quality of devotion.  Devotion brings us the GurParsaad.  Devotion brings us the GurParsaad of Bandgi and Seva.  Actually devotion is Bandgi, devotion is dedication, devotion is surrender, without devotion there is no spiritual progress.  It should come from inside of our Hirda, the thirst for seeking the Eternal Truth, the thirst for discovering the Eternal Truth – Sat.  Devotion is the foundation of Bandgi.  Without devotion Bandgi is not possible.  Devotion is a divine gift so please keep on praying for this divine gift until our Hirda gets filled with this divine quality, this divine power.
