Greed is the dog,
that keeps you running from God.  
Maya keeps you in the chase,
rise above with faith.  
Pray for grace,
all else is a waste. 

Leave behind your hurts,
in Naam take rebirth.

Stop blaming and complaining,
your soul you are staining.
No one is bad, I am not good.
All is happening just as it should. 
As I have sown
so I am reaping.
Only sowing more pain
with endless weeping. 

The sins I have done
are not forgotten.
I am miserable because
to the core I am rotten.

Fake smiles and stylish clothes,
fools many
but God,  your soul, knows. 
The heart is God's throne
And He watches the crimes
Of your devious mind.

Pray for forgiveness
O foolish one,
confess and undo
what you have done. 

Nothing happened as you planned,
God keeps the gifts in his hand. 
Take some time to understand,
you are just part
of the Master's plan. 

He loves you so much
And is hungry only for your love
But as a child in a toy shop
The father gives us what we want
If not in this life, maybe in a few
Whatever gift we want
That's how the Giver will come to you.

But with each pleasure we seek
Is attached pain to make us weak.
When you understand the game
Then see pleasure the same as pain.
Rise above, seek only His love,
fill with longing and yearning,
Give back everything to Him,
And He Himself will come running
To also give you EVERYTHING.

Give up your stubbornness,
it's only made your life a mess. 
Fall at the feet
of the One,
the true king.  
Become a puppet
on His divine string.  
Live a life of loving Him,
in each one
and in every thing.  

Repeat his name
day and night,
praise his glory
and sing and sing.   

Your sins are wiped,
your sheet is white,
your face is shiny
and bright in His light. 

You go home to God, my friend, 
never to be born again.
