Bandagi (voluntary divine slavery)

Bandagi is not a hobby
Or just a part of my life
Bandagi is everything
Bandagi is my life.

Sant kabir ji spoke
The Truth, when he said:
"O slave(banda), do banda-gi
Whilst you still have
Breath in your body."

Either we are doing bandagi
Or we are consumed in gandagi (filth).

Either we are manmukh (ego centered)
Or gurmukh (Truth centered).

Either we are a slave of Maya
Or a slave of Truth.

Either we are in Sach khand (realm of Truth)
Or we are just living in pakhand (hypocrisy, saying onr thing but doing another).

Either we have merged in the Divine light,
Or we are the blind leading the blind.

Either we have our own divine love story to tell,
Or we are empty and living off preaching stories of past gurus and their divine words.

Either we have surrendered to the guru who have us satnaam,
Or we are still doing as we desire
And wondering why no progress.

Either we are a dog at His door
Or we a dog chasing its tail
Going round and round
Crazy in the chase of maya.

Either we give up everything to satguru, and trust and truly believe he ia taking care if everything, and we just have to take care of our bandagi,
Or we still fill with worries, anxieties and fears because we think ego takes care  of money, kids and family.

Either we accept he is the real creator and doer, or we still fight his hukam by trying to make our wishes come true.

Either we come into line with his divine will as per the gurus words,
Or we carry on suffering listening to the worldly words in our mind.

Either we live for the love of the creator,
Or we live for the enjoyments of his creation.

Either we pray for his gurparsaadi naam, seva and bandagi,
Or we carry on living a life of gandagi.

Bandagi is my life.
