Sat Naam Ji - Dandauth Bandhna Ji

 

with Guru ji's kirpa we went into the Sant Sangat of Ranjit Singh Ji last night at Bedford.

We actually were looking forward to it and spent an hour doing simran.

And anyone who creates a sacred space where we can do Simran is Dhan Dhan.

 

In terms of what he was talking about, it was the same old religious preaching aimed at Punjabi Sikhs who

are more into worldy life than relgious life.  But I guess it was what the Sangat needed to hear as that is perhaps there stage.

 

Its all about getting people to stop doing bad deeds, replace with coming into the Sikhi lifestyle fuelled by pride of past stories.

For new people its trying to motivate them to take "Pahul", for the already initiated, it is to motivate them to carry on doing there nitnem,

to be proud of their history and to have faith in Guru Granth Sahib ji. 

 

"Sikhs should be Sikhs, Hindus Hindus, Muslims Muslims."

 

"Avoid people who call themselves Guru and get you attached to them"

 

"Guru GRanth Sahib Ji is our SatGuru!" -- yes, but it tells us to find the living beings as well.

 

"you're not a sikh if you dont do nitnem"

 

"the past Sikhs were lions, but Sikhs now are sheep without a Guru."

 

 

We are so thankful to Baba Ji to get us out of this religious manipulation basically to get people to become initiated and follow a certain lifestyle out of pride of the past,

locking them in out of guilt into doing nitnem but not addressing why they stop doing it -why they lose motivation.  not explaining that Karma makes us meet our SatGuru and that is regardless of the relgion the SatGuru was.  EMpahsising ritual readings instead of Naam.

 

All we know when we were into this kind of preaching and lifestyle is that no-one ever talked about their own expereince of God.  but everyone is very good at telling people about other Sant stories, about guru stories about religious rituals and so on.

 

Baba Ji is great, He talks about God i.e Naam Naam and Naam.

 

If someone is a Sant then God is fully residing in their heart, so love love and love should be pouring out of their mouth.

Not using pride , fear and guilt.  But we always thinks that these Sants do know much more about God, but for some reason never talk about the real thing on stage.

Just churn out the same old same.

 

 

Please forgive us our sins and we do not mean to do any slander of any sant or sangat, actually the feeling was, that when the sukhmani book is published in punjabi to seek out these Sants and to give it to them, to wake them up so they preach the complete Truth.
