this is Yogi Bhajan's more technical description of what the effects of doing simran for different lengths of times and for the number of days.
But it doesnt really matter how we understand it, the important thing is to get up to at least 2.5 hrs of simran a day, plus some more in the evening. This changes us completely for the better.
