A simple question for all of you - Giving money

QN:
Satnaam Jee Dandauth Jee, If someone out there asks you for some money to support himself and his family in India for example, you ask him to give you a receipt, just to give you your satisfaction so that you know how and where the money is going, is there anything wrong with that? Personally, I dont believe there is anything wrong with it. If i need 20£ from you guys to buy myself some food, but then you say "No problems, I will give it, but you would have to show me through receipt how the money was spent". I would think this is totally acceptable. If I was truthful, I should not have any fear of giving you the receipt! and If i seriously needed help, I would agree to taking money off you and have no problems giving you receipts to show how money was spent, wouldn't I? I wouldn't say "You dont need to ask me for the receipt for giving 50-100£, because people out there are giving £10,000-£15,000 and don't ask for receipt" I dont care about those people. I simply need receipt to give me my assurance because I am no brahm gianee who will be able to read your mind and know exactly what you are upto! Please share your views!

Sat Naam Ji,
Dandauth Bandhna ji

if they are going to cheat you, then what makes you think their receipt is genuine?

Its all Karma - whatever money you give for whatever reason is just the story.
The real thing is the karma that the money had to go from you to wherever it is goping to end up - whether
in the mouth of the poor (as you hoped according to your story), or in the pockets of the cheat.

Baba Ji gave us a very simple system, Baba ji said if some beggar asks you for money, give them some.
Just see it as past karma coming to take it dues.
If they dont say how much they want then give them whatever feels right to you.
If they give you a figure then give them that.
We said to Baba Ji in India if you give to one beggar then hundred more come.
Baba ji said to keep giving.

Susan did this literally. Once in the shppoing centre a homeless guy came and she gave hims some, then loads of others came too and she gave them all some just seeing Baba ji's face in them all. And she has become Dhan Dhan by doing this.

There is also another saying that "the mouth of the poor is the guru's moneybox" - so it is always best to give food if you can, because most homeless people will spend it on drink or drugs rather than eating. In India my Dad always gave bananas to every beggar. The fake ones got disappointed!! Once at a train station , a person asked Dad to get some apples for him. Dad was delighted and bought a whole bag full, the person said he only wanted 3 - and walked off. He had two companions and gave it to them. That is contentment - there are Sadhu's in India who only beg for what they need for that day or that moment and trust in God to provide again next time they need something.

If you dont feel right to give someone the money , especially if you tested him about the recipt and they trie to use guilt trips, then dont trust them and dont give it. Just save it and give it yourself directly to homeless people - there are plenty of people in London who could do with some help.

Dust of your feet

IK OANKAAR SATNAAM SATGUR PARSAADDHAN DHAN PAAR BRAHAM PARMESAR JEEDHAN DHAN GUR GURU SATGUR GURBANI SATSANGAT SATNAAM GURU PYARE JEE: YOU CAN GIVE THE MONEY AS IF YOU ARE GIVING IT AWAY AND DON'T EXPECT ANYTHING IN RETURN AS IF YOU ARE GIVING IT TO A CHARITY. HELPING POOR IS DIFFERENT OR GIVING CHARITY IS DIFFERENT, BUT EXPECTING A RETURN BECOMES A CAUSE OF PROBLEM. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO HARJIT JEE BEFORE. DASSAN DASS
