keep us a as a spec of dust on the soles of your shoes,
we dont need to be anyone's equal,
we have found our place under your Charan Saran.
We are so so so fortunate, so blessed to have baba ji and dassan dass ji with us, otherwise this mind and our karma just eats us away.
A few days ago we received a call out of the blue after 5 years from "Gurmukh Ji" the one who helped me so much in 1996 - see "Harjit Diary".
We were happy to hear from him, he kind of badgered us to go and meet him - hard to say no to him. His son also told us on the phone that
he was really thankful that we helped them all those years ago with the loan to get his sister married. And now he was calling on behalf of his father
to ask if we could help him to get married too.
At that, I was really surprised. It is obvious to anyone that they didnt pay back the loan at that time and now had a cheek to ask again.
But at the same time, he was guru Nanak for me at that time and perhaps this is Hukam for me to test me, to see if I have forgiven him to lend again.
Deep down we did not feel comfortable, but at the same time we do not want to say no to God's saints. so we just kept saying to God,
"Tan sant ka, man santan ka dhan santan ka" ...body belongs to the sants, wealth belongs to the sants and mind belongs to the sants.
We kept thinking of how kind Guru Arjun Dev ji is in Gurbani that he gave everything for the love of the Sants, "santeh charan hamaro matha, nain daras tn dhoor parao"
..may my forehead stay at the feet of the sant, my eyes behod them and my body be covered with their holy foot dust.
We thought of how much love Guru Tegh Bahadur ji had for the sants, for when the Kashmiri Pandits came and needed a saviour, guru ji didnt hesitate to go and give his head.
We thought of how Dhan dhan guru Gobind singh ji came into the world with one mission to protect the Sants and destroy the tyrants - the persecutors of the Sants.
So we felt really bad that deep down we did not want to give any kind of loan to Uncle Ji, but he was a Sant for us and we should help him and it may be hukam that he called.
We resolved that we will call baba ji, and if baba ji says give him all the money he needs then we will do so without hesitation.
BABA JI asked us to write the details of the financial dealings we had with him so here they are as much as i remember - but i try not to remember as we have forgiven him and have no desire for that money to be returned, because this is what baba ji has taught us and it has freed our mind. We were also feeling today that actually in 1996 we did GIVE him a gift of about £30 first, the £300, then £2000 - and we did that because he asked us and we gave it because we loved him and how he had helped us. And also we said at that time, that Guru Nanak Ji has given it to us in one hand and himself takes it from the other hand. But then he asked us to lend him £10,000 for the complete wedding of his daughter. I did say no first. But then saw his face in ardas the next day, and it was like a rose had been trampled on by an elephant and I did not like to see a beautiful rose like that. So in the name of Guru Nanak Dev Ji we lent him the money, and LENT was the key word, he agreed he would pay back the monthly installments.
He paid back the first installment, but none after that. I remember at that time I became furious inside towards him, and left his sangat but unfortunately aslo went off into maya having been hurt. I paid off the loan plus interest of about £2K. So the total given was about £14200.
But with Baba Ji's kindness we have forgotten about it until a few days ago when he called after all these years and its only to borrow more money. so we called Baba ji because we dont want to go against God by saying no, or lose to Greed Doot either, or fail the test if its a Hukam. And as soon as we explained it to baba ji he said, that that person was not a Sant in deeds. to look as he may be wearing White and doing meditation and so on, but on the inside he is not a Sant in deeds. Because if he gave His word to repay the money, then he should have done anything and everything to pay it back, even if it meant working or begging on the street. Because we have to have truthful living. Baba ji told us that he was abusing us. That was not the truthful action of a sant. Baba ji said the fact we saw the light of his aura was because we were furuther than him and god was pleased with us. but the aura is even on lesser gods like Brahm, Shiva, Vishnu and other so called sants, but it doesnt mean they are free from desires. Baba Ji said it was better to lie at the feet of Susan because she died for Truth, she lived the Truth and faced the consequences. Baba ji said that thank that person for all he taught me, but i had gone much further than him in deeds, because after 13 years he is still stuck in borrowing manipulating money consciousness as he has come back for another "loan" wereas we have served and served and lived the Truth and forgiven and helped thousands, he is still stuck in his little world doing "bhagti" for himself, stuck in religion in wearing white and so on.
We said to baba ji we are nothing, we dont want to think bad of anyone , we just dont want to make any mistakes and hurt any Sants especially if its hukam of the phone call. but baba ji said it is only hukam if it ends up in Satnaam - if his request is truthful then its hukam, not if its a play of maya, then its not hukam.
Baba ji fred our mind, we felt so much amrit from baba ji when he gave us the answer.
