I'm trying to get back into my meditation routine, but its difficult..

My soul is yearning to meditate, but my spoiled mind is giving it a hard time...

I find when I cant meditate, then I can do seva.

 

seva thoree mangan bohitha

 ....seva is less, but our wants are more

 

Everything starts with seva

 

bin gun keeta bhagat na hoi

..without good deeds you cant do bhagti

 

seva karat hoi nikaamee

tis sevak ko hoth prapat swamee

...by doing seva and becoming selfless

that sevak is accepted by the Lord and Master

 

 

...when we are suffereing under 40 foot of the scum of maya as Dassan Das ji says as most worldy people are,  then to erase that thick scum we need gurprasad ..blessings of the God in the Sant,  and we get those blessings by doing seva selflessly.  That erases ego, by becoming empty of wants - even wanting spiritual expereinces, then we can be blessed.   So do seva selflessly - seva with mind, body and wealth, seva of the satguru by giving daswand, by giving time and by making effort,  seva of all those around you.  Think only of doing seva for others with a smile and a happy heart EXPECTING nothing in return.  Become a giving, giving, giving heart and God gives you everything.  Baba Ji said God created everything and onn seeing it and being delighted iwth it, He gave it all away to us - the souls .  And now in bhagti we are trying to give everything away back to God so we can go home.

jo kush ha so tera

tera tuj ko saupiaa

to sacrifice everything back to You

Being able to mediate, to do bhagti, is a gift from God to the ones who done selfless seva for the Satguru in everyheart, good deeds, and given everything back to God.  Being able to do simran is Gurprasadi - only by Sant-guru's grace.    All we can do is pray for this Gurprasadi Naam from the heart of the Sant - Sant Prasad.
