FROM DASSAN DASS JI:

Ram means the one who is present in every creation. JO HAR IK RACHNA VICH RAMEYAA HOYEA HAI.

RAM means "God" in Gurbani.

In gurbani, Kabir ji says that when he says "RAM" he is referring to the IMMORTAL GOD not the son of Dashartha.

RAM means the one who is RUMIAA ..merged in everything.

RAM is the most common name of God of Gurbani.  Just like in the English language we use the word GOD to refer to the supreme being.   In those times in India people referred to God as RAM.  Just like we say "remember God's name,   TRUTH - SAT NAAM".  In Gurbani it is saying "RAM NAAM JAPO"  meaning remember God's name.  It doesn't mean remember the name RAM RAM.

That's as much as we know.
