There is no sunshine without the guru

Ik onkar sat Naam ik onkar sat Naam ik onkar sat Naam ik onkar sat Naam ik onkar sat Naam ik onkar sat Naam Sat gur parsaad.    

We have tried and failed,
it is not possible to take
baba ji's lotus feet out of our heart.  

Nor to remove his kind, loving voice
from inside our mind.  

Nor to not see his feet in all feet.

Nor can we look at the sun
without seeing baba ji smiling down showering their grace.   

In every leaf
and upon each creature
we only feel baba ji's love for all. 

Without Dandauth bandhna
to baba ji in all Sangat
and without thinking of baba ji
there is no access to Satnaam. 

All is cold and empty
in the realm of ego and pride.  

May satguru ji's feet fill our heart,
may our forehead
forever be at their holy feet,
may their feet fill
each and every cell,
may we just be a flower
basking in the glory of the guru.

Without my sat guru
there is no sunshine. 
All is just a long, dark night. 

How can we forget the one
who never forgot about us
when we were sinking
in the deep, dark well
full of the scum of maya?

We gave tried and failed,
there is no God without the guru.
