Gurparsaad is God's eternal blessings. Without them we can't do anything from our the temple of our heart. That is where God lives, "the seat of our soul" says baba ji maharaj. It is good to remember that everything bad we do is coming from our negative mind under five demons, ego and desires. Everything good we do is coming from the postive side of the mind . But everything divine we do is coming from our heart. And that is only possible by gurparsaad, because our satguru gave us the key of naam to our heart temple which was locked. So it really is only by gurparsaad, baba ji's dassan dass ji's eternal blessings that we can write these words. That we can even sit and do Satnaam simran, that we can give to others, that we can do selfless seva, that we can forgive and forget, tell the truth, work honestly, be compassionate, kind, caring, loving and seeing God in all. Because when we are under the gurparsaad, we are staying in the sunshine. But when we are under the mind we are standing in the dark clouds of maya. If you ever get down or depressed you will literally feel like a dark cloud had come over your head and no matter what you do you can't get out of it. Then negative thoughts rain down, unfulfilled deep down desires get us stuck in those thoughts, we can't stop thinking about all the things that went wrong in our life, or we get obsessed with what we want. Even if we know it's wrong, we try to lift our thoughts up, but like being stuck in quicksand we get sucked down again. Look at the twisted faces of criminals, their bad actions happened as a result of bad thoughts and bad desires. They know it's wrong to abuse a kid. But the desire takes over, they watch wrong type of websites, they try to give it up, but the dark cloud pushes them down further, they try to fight, they twist and turn inside, they can't get any peace from the bad thoughts so they do the crime. Their faces become twisted and dark. They sit in hell, can't confess, tell more lies, or bite their lips and like a fist inside they close up. Their mind has squeezed all the life out of their heart. Then God destroys them. That is the extreme opposite of God's grace, gurparsaad. The other side is the one who opens the heart, lives it, and wins over the mind and lives in the divine love light forever in joy and bliss if Truth, sat chit anand. As God's servant of Truth , sat ram das. Everyone else is in between. So this gurparsaad of naam we have been given is the highest gift to us from the giver. Baba ji said that those God loves he gives them gurparsaad, those he wants to push away he gives them maya. Don't feel like we are unsuccessful or lacking anything when we see others who have a job or better job, or those who are rich and we are not etc. Don't forget how much God lives us, he gave us himself through baba ji and dassan dass ji and the Gurparsaadi naam. 99‰ of Sangat forget the value of the gurparsaad that they have been gifted. And thinking they are OK now, (guru tool their pain that brought them to God) drift back into maya and consequently pain again. Last week an old sangat member from 13 years ago called us after about 5 years. Said he went back into maya, got pain again, wants to come back. That baba ji is hus guru and us dust of our feet. We said, it's easy to say those words, but you need pray to God in your heart and really think about the grace God did on you, but what did you do with the gift? Then you need to go back to basics, do seva, wipe shoes , pray and beg to God to give you sangat if God guru again. Because this sangat is God's gift to us, not just we come when we are in pain, disappear for 5 years into maya, call again. Gurbani says people think gid us a toy to play with as they please. So our wife told us she saw him and his wife at the gurdwara yesterday washing dishes. Good start. But long way back to getting gurparsaad again. We wrote this with baba jis blessings to share with you all to never take for granted the gur parsaad that God baba ji dassan dass ji maharaj have given us. Opened the door to the temple of our heart. It maybe we are thinking we haven't seen God yet, and others have, so we are lacking. But really, if we appreciated that the diamond of Satnaam the has been blessed to us all ready is a priceless gift, we wouldn't think about what we still haven't got. Baba ji said for this Gurparsaadi naam, forget about more wants, give your head now. Due for earning the guru' words. So there is no difference between what gurbani says and what we are.
