God only looks at our deeds, not our religion

Always two types of people come to guru sangat.

One is already on the way up, other is already on the way down.  

Way up is doing good and now going to serve and get grace and God.

Way down is already doing bad, meets guru, does slander and bad deeds and is now going to get destroyed.

Gurbani says the same that everything that happens to us is balanced on our deeds.

Good deeds lead to goodness and grace.

Bad deeds lead to badness and grief.

bin gun keeta bhagat na hoi
...without good deeds there is no bhagti) devotion).

And any good deeds we have rot if we forget god .. .har bisarath tere gun galia.

Bhai Gurdas ji wrote that the Hindus and Muslims used to ask them who does God love more?  Baba Nanak ji told them, "without good deeds no one goes to God."

Baba ji maharaj said like attracts like.

So when God is the treaure chest of goodness,  we also have to fill our HIRDHA (spiritual heart) with GOODNESS.

But if we do the opposite, fill ourself with badness, then we only attract demons, spirits and hell.

It's all inside us, hell, heaven and Truth as our state of mind.

But each of them also connect to the parallel universe around us, the hell , heaven and Truth realms.

Meaning:

As above so below.

As in the universe, so inside us.

So focus on our deeds,  stop doing bad,  good deeds take us to grace,  graceful naam takes us to God with shining faces.

Make truthful deeds,  sat karams, into your religion.
