Parent pray for wants infront of gurbani guru

Parents have been teaching Daya (daughter 2yr old) to matha tek to gurbani guru, and pray for a brother.  We said to them why are u teaching her wants?  Then they say we can want for our guru. We say your guru says give up wants they keep you in maya. Then dad says even bhagats prayed for wants and quoted kabir ji..
I cant do your mala without food.

We said, they aksed for two rotis so they could do bhagti.  You have mansions and all worldy thinga and are asking for even more , and you dont even ask for bhagti.

Dad said we need maya to live, we need sons for name to carry on.  Look at your guru doesnt give u a job , doesnt give you a son.  (impkying your guru doesnt have powers to fulfil maya).

We stopped saying anything else, because we dont want them to slander.

But they carry on, u dont need these holy men.  They just after your money. You should start ur own dera and make money! 

Then they say gurbani is our guru, then they get proud and sing sabh te vada satguru nanak, then they (wife, dad , mum) say you keep saying satnaam we will keep saying waheguru....all in pride.

We stop saying anything even though we can correct them, because its pride now, so we wash their feet in mind.

Then dad says i will be oresident of gurdwara, you explain in english to sangat on sundays.  We say you wont like what we say, u will throw us out.

We tell them.one truth about gurbani says dont ask for wants, they attack us and judge our guru on basis of whose guru gives more maya gifts.

We told them no point reading gurbani if u dont want to understand it and follow it.

We used to have same arguments about caste before we were married. We told them gurbani brwaks all barriers, they would invite gianis who would tell us to marry in caste.

Sikhs love gurbani guru because it doesnt speak and tell them off.  So they can do all false actions and beliefs they want.
