Baba ji maharaj said last year that before reading the humble sukhmani bani a person in ego should spend at least one to two years cleaning shoes, washing dishes, wiping toilets to become humble enough to receive the divine wisdom. Otherwise in ego a person says i read sukhmani, but they have not got even one iota of gareebee ves hirdha even after reading...it hasnt cooled them at all.
Its true we love sukhmnai bani, we try to sing one astpadi a day and it really makes us feel a glimpse of the extreme humbleness that dhan satguru arjun dev ji had, and that we also have to earn so pure parbraham can sit in our heart.
But we only started feeling like that abouy sukhmani bani after many years of seva at gurdwaras of sants and of sangat.
Same on this sangat, saying sat sat sat is only half the story, we also have to do seva to earn humbleness
Baba ji said truth has to be served on the dish of humility.
When baba nanak ji was blessed by parbraham ji in the river, bhai nand lal jinwrote that god gave baba nanak ji two things..
Sat naam amrit, and extreme humility (gareebee ves hirdha)

We have to show our love to satnaam when doing simran, and we show that love by serving satnaam in his creation with love amd gareebee ves hirdha also.
