Dassan dass ji completed thier bhagti so fast because they had 100% faith in baba ji maharaj as being god himself and they put into action what they were told right away. When the rest if the sangat left because of doubts others put into them, dasaan dass ji said "even if god himself came and told us to leave we wouldnt."
Even one percent doubt in your guru will be the crack that shatters the whole window.
And we are still here only because we trusted dassn dass ji and overruled what others said or what our negative mind was saying.
If we see our guru as just another indian holy man and respect him like an elder , like our dad, then we will seek approval from them and see their words as just advice which we can ignore if we dont like it. Or we may rebel like we do with our parents.
But if we see only god, love, inside them , the same god love that is in our heart but hidden by the dark mind, then we will trust them and surrender to their divine words because we know they are only doing good for us.
Tum karo bhalla hum bhala na jano tum sada sada dyalaa.
