SatNaam Veer Ji,
Dandauth Bandhna ji,
your are on the right track, accept everything as KARMA, so if someone slaps you , kiss their feet in return as Baba Farid Ji writes in Gurbani. And on the flip side, any good thoughts you have towards others, keep acting upon them and making them into good deeds. Just by reducing our bad deeds and increasing our good deeds our Hirdh (where God - SAT - resides) expnds, starts becoming BEANT (infinite, unlimited) like HIM. There is no limit to love or comapssion, the more you love other, serve other, the more there is yet to love and serve. So keep expanding these gunns (virtues) that are already planted in our hirdha from the day we aer born, but are dormant until we practise them. Then when we have earned all the virtues , pure comes to pure, meaning God comes and manifests.
Regarding bad thoughts or crazy thoughts, this is perfectly natural. The more we try and do simran or try and have faith in our spiritual path, or spiritual Sant, then the destructive side of the mind will offer a rebound. Basically, ego and pride will keep putting in negative thoughts, doubts etc. Often we may just have crazy thoughts or disturbing thoughts. The way to handle them is to realise that the mind is like awild horse as Kabir ji says. So if we try and force our mind to come under control it will kick back even more. So we have to be kind to our mind. To be frm that we are following Gurmat now, so any other thoughts coming need to be weeded out. So next time a unwanted thought comes, just try this,
a) just notice the thought has appeared eg "may I go blind"
b) then name the thought eg "nonsense"
c) then put the thought into a bubble and blow it into the Universe out of your mind, saying something like "Satguru ji please take these unwanted thoughts, please forgive me for all of my mistakes." [Ask for forgiveness as often as you can, because remember even the thoughts that are coming into our mind is what we are reaping from what we have sown in the past].
d) then come back to your balanced mind and start doing SatNaam SatNaam in your hirdha again.
And by doing this you dont get into feeling frustrated or guilty of having such terrible thoughts. Nor do you act upon them, especially if they are destructive or negative thoughts that could lead to hurting or slandering others.
By repeating this process with every unwanted thought, your mind, the wild horse, starts learning that unwanted thoughts have no place in the mind. So it starts throwing less of them at you. So it gets easier and easier just to stay focsed on SatNaam Satnaam simran.
You are doing great, keep going, keep doing your Simran and Satguru ji is pulling you from inside to the Light and the Love that is already in you, never forget that.
Dust of your feet
Harjit

WJKK WJKF,
Ok, so I have to try and learn that everything is in God's hands, and that we shouldn't worry too much because this world is an illusion, and only they are the truth. I have to accept my eyes for what has happened, only God can answer why, perhaps it is previous karma. However, when you do simran, you should also understand that you have to sacrifice yourself and everything around you to truly achieve salvation. I read on the website about things like 'rot my body', or 'give us more dukh' etc. However I got a thought that said 'I want to go blind', or 'I wish to go blind', then I got scared, because this is similar to the nindiah thing, its like a mental disease, I don't wan't it there because these thoughts are stupid but it just comes. If the thought was something like 'I would go blind if I had to for you Naam', thats different, but I get these crazy thoughts which I get scared of. You must think I'm crazy, but these things happen. What should I do? Because it comes when I attempt simran!

SatNaam Gurmukh Ji,Dandauth Bandhana ji (please accept our head in service at your feet),we all have the destructive side of the mind from where negative thoughts come from. We also have the constructive side of the mind where thoughts of making things happen (due to desires). The third part of the mind is the preserver or neutral side. These are the energies known as Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu respectively. Most people do not understand how the mind works and have no idea where thoughts are originating from. However, once we are blessed with the Eternal Blessings from our Sant, then we have the gift of nbeing able to start looking within to start realising what we really are inside. And you have looked inside , recognised those negative thoughts , confessed them and been forgiven. That is the exact way we conquor them, rather than denying them or feeling guilty about it, but those thoughts and consequent actions taken are due to our own past deeds. So we have to conquor the mind, so keep confessing them asking for forgiveness and keep doing your simran. When you get out of constructive and destructive side of minds by giving up desires, then you have balanced mind - you are in the presever part of the mind. That is where you can do your simran. That is the good part of the mind. When God blesses you then you transcend and go to God.So this is the journey to conquor your mind. Regarding your pain, Baba ji always says give me your pain and he gives you love light and blessings to lift you. He has a so much compassion for the hurt and the suffering. All our pains our due to our past deeds, so we have to accept we are reaping what we have sown. Dassan Dass ji also wrote in Sukhmani explanation that any pains we have are due to some kind of slandering of a sant in the past (or past lives), so we should always ask for forgiveness of all misdeeds known and unknown. In the beginning we may do naam simran to get healed or get fixed, but that's upto God if and when that happens. The real thing about Naam Simran and bhagti is it gets you to realise that dukh and sukh or two sides of the same coin. Living in the world we will always have dukh and sukh, but with naam and gyan we realise that stability is with, our soul is perfect and pure, and when we realise that is our true identity - SAT - TRUTH, then we pray to God @rot my body, destroy my family but never let me lose the love of Naam.' And you also pray 'give me the dukh of others, give sukh to others. So in the name of Baba ji , please give us all your dukh and may all peace go to you.Dust of your feetHarjitOn 12 August 2010 06:15, Gurmukh Bansal <gurmukhb@hotmail.co.uk> wrote:
Thank you, I mean I didn't want to slander Saints, but sometimes you get thoughts in your mind that you don't want there, it was never intentional, I still asked for forgiveness anyway. Yes, it was in inside the eye in the retina, in my right eye, the scars are so close to the center of my vision, I could have lost sight really badly. I always thought to myself, and I'll like to ask you with kindness, is it possible that naam can heal these scars, do the impossible? As they say it does miracles, and I'm sort of hoping for one. There is a reason I got this problem, not to mention that in July, I got double vision out of nothing. Even though most of it went back to normal, there is still some left when i look downwards, as my eyes aren't co-ordinated (the left eye was the problem in this case). So I would just like to ask with kindness if it can be done with naam simran, because I've had this dukh for a reason, and I've had it since 2008 in the mental aspect (nindiah), and physically in late 2009.
Thank you so much for your help, God bless us all, Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh

SatNaam Veer ji,baba ji said this to your email ji with great kindness : "all your nindya is forgiven, dont do it again. Seek medical help for the eyes and if it is genetic then be satisfied in it asHe keeps you, as you can still see. Dont worry about the scars. Do simran, give yourself to God, munn, tunn, rom rom (every cell). Dedicate your life to Truth, for that is the only right cause. Bless you. And we are with you. You are forgiven of all your slandering. Sukheee reh - stay in Eternal Peace. You should be able to feel the change on yourself now."God Bless you veer ji, Baba ji has given you forgiveness and blessings of Naam. Now keep reading the website and apply Gurbani to your life. Please feel free to communicate. We will add you to our email sangat where you can post questions/experiences and receive blessings too.Dust of your feetHarjit

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh.
Thank Waheguru for this website, it is amazing.
I would like just to ask about something very serious in my life right now for 2 years. In 2008 I had this mental sickness, someone told me that we shouldn't do nindah of Great Sants. I knew that, however, I got really scared, thinking of the consequences. This is where the problem occurred, my mind started playing tricks and started thinking negative things about Sants, but I didn't want it there. I ask for forgiveness but sometimes I feel so guilty, it even happens now, 2 years later.
This leads to me to my next point, in December 2009, I started seeing these spots in my eyes, it was called APMPPE, which was a chronic disease, with no known cause. I got so lucky with a Sant's kirpa plus medication to prevent serious vision problems, as the scars were left behind from inflammation. These scars I wish I could heal, but only Naam can do that? Even then, I think I have an immune system problem as well as weakness in the respiratory system. I got to admit I don't have a complete healthy lifestyle, plus I get depressed due to this nindiah thing. I want to give up sometimes, even as I write this, I have problems.
What should I do? Will simran heal this for me?
Please give a reply, thank you.
