Reiki - the Sat Naam way!

Sat Naam Ji,

 

we have been doing reiki for a number of years now and also Sat Naam simran and have found the two have merged within us.  We tend to go through the following steps when doing reiki on the sangat on Fridays or on our daughters in the morning.  For anyone who already does Reiki in the sangat, there's not much to change when doing it with Satnaam, all we tend to do is:-

 

a) do dandauth bandhna to the person

 

 

b) to set my intention, just do ardas and call upon satnaam satguru baba ji, you are the healer of healers, you are

the healer, the healed and the healing, you have the golden healing hands, please use this mind and body for the highest divine good of this person infront of me.

 

c) Instead of then protecting myself , we just bring Baba ji into it.  We breathe in SAT through he crown chakra and breathe out with NAAM and imagine the feet of Baba ji passing all the way down from the top of our head down to our feet.  Do it three times so feel that it is Baba ji who encases us and is doing the healing - NOT me.

 

d) I use the ik oankaar and khanda symbols and push them into our palms, whilst saying ik onkaar satnaam.  Baba ji said that the Khanda symbol can be used to represent Sat Naam.

 

e) then draw ikonkaar and khanda in the air whilst saying ik oankar satnaam over the person and push them into the persons aura.

f) then just start doing simran, praying to Sat Naam SatGuru ji, and whatever else comes into our mind

 

g) move hands around the chakras - dont tend to touch people now as there's no need to and avoids male/female issues, also avoids disturbing the person.

 

h) after a while we feel that the whole person comes inside our hirda, like a Baba ji holding a baby to his chest and wrapping it up with a blanket of love.

 

i) at the end just bow to the person again and thank them and sat Naam sat guru baba ji for all his kindness.

 

 

Doing it the above way feels good for me because it brings in baba ji and brings in God - which when we learnt reiki was missing.  Our teacher were great but they didnt mention God but instead called upon angels and spirits to come an help.  Baba ji said to us to always call upon Sat Naam rather than spirits and lesser beings.  And to focus on Baba ji is to focus on Sat Naam.  So it works for us.  Also our teachers always inssited on charging people and not to give it away for free.  But Dassan Dass Ji told us that we dont do these things for money.  So this seva has become selfless and we do not do it with anything other than being compaasionate to the other person and expecting nor wanting anything in return. god has given us everything, we just need to give everything back to Him, otherwise there are millions who are stuck in buying and selling reiki and religion.
