I noticed something when thinking just a little while ago. The Jews persecuted Jesus, the Romans persecuted the Jews, The Moguls persecuted the Hindus and Sikhs, the Hindus persecuted the Sikhs (1984, delhi riots) the muslims are now being persecuted by the Jews (israel) and also the west. This cycle of evil keeps going on, and nowhere in history shows signs of mercy, and where are the signs of God? Why would He let this happen? Such evil? If it is karma, they why so much bloodshed...the holocaust for example? I know in my heart he is there, here, everywhere but why couldnt he stop that evil?

I'm sure that not all Jews persecuted Jesus, not all Romans persecuted jews etc ...you can never generalise. It comes down to an individual and his/her deeds. Baba Ji explained to us that human nature goes from animal consciousness all the way up to Truth consciousness. God is Truth, yet he created Maya, lower consciousness, the Law of Karma, this whole Game so that He Himself could find Himself and know what He is. It is Him in us that we call our soul, it is Him that is reminding us - our mind, to realise Him. Everything that is happening, is Him doing it to Himself. He is Truth consciousness - the peak, but our soul starts off in lowest animal consciousness and works through countless lifetimes. Maya is the mountan. Bandagi - i.e.our labouring on naam simran and seva and bringing in divine qualities is how we climb this mountain. It is all within us - hell , heaven and sachkhand - Truth. If individuals in a place or a group are more lower consciousness then that group does horrendous acts as you have mentioned. But, Sat Sangat is the Compnay of Truth Consciousness beings and that is what we are trying to be part of. Because, when oour ego becomes nothing, then God - the brightness of our soul - becomes everything and His goodness, kindness, Naam and Gurprasad shines through us into this dark world of maya, to uplift all those around us, top uplift the consciousness of all those around us.
That is what its all about, for us to become a lighthouse in this dark world to help other souls move to Truth consciousness as well. always remember that it is our ego, under the influence of desires and five thieves that do all the evil acts. God is true and beautiful, pure and perfect and is waiting for us to let Him into our heart. Only Ego does evil, not God. Its upto us to decide which one is going to run us and our group.
