Hello everyone,
I am having a hard time using this SA – TA – NA – MA yoga chant and also chanting Sat Nam.
In my Finnish language it means satans land--please does anyone know/have an alternative chant? I understand that it does not mean this, but in my mother tongue(first language learned)it is really hard to try to focus on the true meaning-when the words have a duality for me...
It really bothers me,can someone please help?
Thx,
Jaana

my Guru gives us Sat Naam mantra to meditate upon, but he says not to get caught up with the word - as great as it is, it is still part of the physical. Ultimately even it fades away and all that is left is Silence. He said that Silence is higher than Sat Naam.
He also said that SAT means Truth, even adding NAAM to it , is just a description.
So in meditation you will find that we go from various mantras or verses or prayers to various names of God, then we find ourselves drawn to SAT NAAM, then just to SAT, then just into
SILENCE....the Pure Source.
He said we did not have to recite just SAT or SAT NAAM, but to remember that
it represented TRUTH. So we could repeat/chant on the word TRUTH as translated into our own language. Its just a way to focus us on the Source. And not meant to become a mental block. Its meant to uplift us to the Highest Consciousness - Truth Consciousness.
SAT CHIT ANAND - means Remembering TRUTH one is in JOY.
I read recently that JOY is our essence, wereas happiness and sadness are
just emotions. But Eternal JOY is what we experience when we merge into Truth Consciousness.
