I wish you a Happy Present Moment

Satnaam SatSangat Ji,

 

we traditionally say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year at this time of year, but why just wish a Happy XMAS - why not wish a Happy EVERY MOMENT!  Why wait for our Birthday or our anniversary or Guru Nanak's Birthday or some other religious holiday?  That is just a trick of society to keep us looking forward to something.  In the past winter in the WEST was cold and miserable for worldy minds, so they had a festival - something to look forward too, a big feast, giving of gifts, lots of drink and dancing around a huge fire to cheer them up during these depressing (for their minds) months.  When the Christians came they imposed a religious holiday over it.  Now in the 21st Century, commercialism has taken over from Christianity and MAYA runs the worldy minds.  But really when you understand the mind then you understand that when the festival is over the mind is back to its depressed state looking for the next occassion.  

 

Really we need to celebrate the present moment, because in this moment is the Living Eternal Being - Sat Naam.  Every moment Sat Naam KartaPurakh is the Creative Being who is pumping life into the whole Creation, new raindrops, new snowflakes, new births, new galaxies , new planets.  Lets celebrate this very moment when so much unimaginable Creation is going on.  SatNaam is not for a special day, SatNaam is not the holy books, SatNaam is not in the history books, SatNaam is right here right now , fully shining in all His glorious wonder, in the heart of the living heart of the human Sat Guru.  By whose Grace we can realise the wondrous glory of the Living Light in our own heart.
