Baba ji said that when someone slanders them, then they look for another guru and another way. But they don't realise, there is other way until they get forgiveness for their slander. So in effect, baba ji becomes their God.
Whoever we slander becomes our God, because we can't go further until we become humble infront of them again.
And what we find useful, is when someone is mean to us, and automatically we think bad of them, (slander), we say, "ok you are our God now, we are going to wash your feet in our simran."

Met an old friend from religious days, he wanted to know why we cut our hair etc. We told him our love story with God, he told us once he washed all sangats feet with love and humbleness, and next three days he was doing Dandauth and touching everyone's feet in and out of gurdwara, family, black, white, seeing his in everyone. Even people he hated he washed their feet. He said it was so humbling and great . Then his family, his religious group said, ok stop now, doesn't look good. He said I am seeing God only. They thought he was crazy. Then he stopped doing it. He said "I did it for three days, it was enough." then he carries on saying that difference between him and us is he gave his head to his guru and never turned away but we have done so. He said guru manyo granth. We said you are not listening to us, but at least listen to guru manyo granth, your guru. We gave him dassan dass ji's blessed books. They don't want to understand more than what they believe, even though they say we haven't got anywhere,vut guru will save us on our death bed. Afterwards we thought, his guru us pride and ego. But ego makes us blind. We went there and did dandauth bandhna to him, giani, dad. We washed his feet whilst he talked. We say God bless you. The real difference between us and him, is he doesn't accept us and our guru and wants to change us, but we accept him and want to wash his feet. We were like him once, pride of religion makes you blind to Truth. God bless him, we can't speak, we don't know anything, God you are inside every heart. Forgive us, bless him and all.

Religious pride is their guru. Not gurbani or tenth master as they think. He said if you really have the real thing you should tell everyone I have the real thing. We said, if you say you have it, it's ego, better to say my wisdom is little and he a beggar and servant.
