When you are on social media ask yourself how you feel after reading certain posts. How did you feel before and notice how you changed? We are being manipulated all the time. Other people doing well, seeing ideal bodies and perfect holiday locations, all is designed to fill us with envy. We feel inadequate. Too fat, too poor, too boring. Self doubts, negative thoughts more despair. Or perhaps seeing posts about attacks fills us with fear. Or posts that blame others fill us with hatred and anger. Have you ever thought what was the intention of the person who created that post? By making us feel a certain way, really uncomfortable or envious or low then there is a call to action, a solution they offer. Buy this product. Or join this protest. Or vote a certain way. We are just being played like a donkey with a carrot dangling infront of its nose or a stick on its backside. The best thing is to not just race through endless posts and pictures and comments. Stop and think how did this make me feel? What was the intention of the poster? What are they trying to make me do? Then when you see it is all bullshit then don't fall for their trick. Go inside. Take a breath. Be calm. Say Satnaam. And know that endless love and light is already inside you. You have everything inside your heart. Everyone seems to be dissatisfied with what they are doing. Imagining they would be happier doing something else. Washing, wiping, cooking, cleaning mind resents doing it even though it is our own self generated mess. The job we are doing we drag ourself out of bed to get to it and complain about it. Even having all the comforts, wife and kids we wish we were somewhere else. We can't enjoy any of it. At the best restaurant still the food is not quite to our liking. Having everything enjoying nothing. What a curse. How to escape? Stop being so selfish. Start being selfless. Nothing for me everything is for other . Live to serve. Cook and clean for the benefit of others. Thank for even the smallest burnt piece of toast and water we get. Work hard at whatever job we are doing right now with a smile on our face and go the extra mile. And say Satnaam satnaam satnaam all the way through. Our battle is only to overcome the selfish mind that we have created by our own thoughts, words and actions. We laid each and every brick of our own selfish character and now are trapped inside the prison of the mind. Satnaam simran is the key. Selfless service is the way out. Bless you. Stay in peace. Only be content if you did selfless deeds and meditated on Truth and did nothing under the influence of the five demons of anger, greed, attachment, pride and lust. Otherwise don't be content. Scan your day and see how far you fell short. Ask for forgiveness from your soul/Truth. And start again the next day. Contentment only comes when we are merged fully in Truth. And live for the uplift enthusiast of others. Selfless not selfish. Until then don't be content to live as a slave of the selfish mind. And never be proud of anything done under ego. Do not crave for the fruit the moment the sapling is planted! Do not pluck and chew the leaves and the twigs in the hope of inferring the taste of the fruit.
