The perfect world

Satnaam ji dandout, as per babajis hookam I'm sending my essay from school. I was told to create a perfect world, so instead I wrote why this world is perfect. And babaji has told me to share on kakao.

      I didn't do the utopian society project the way it's supposed to be done. Why? Because, this world that we live in right now is perfect to me. First I thought I would just do it for the grade but then I realized I didn't care about my mark as much as saying what I really felt. I think that this is the perfect world despite there being people and things we don't always agree with.

           Maybe one would think the worlds not perfect because of the types of people there are or some events that occur. I think it's perfect even with having murderers or terrorist attacks or robbers etc. Those kinds of people and things are there and happen as there meant to. Everything that happens is for a reason.  They're here to show you it and create memories and test you, and then you decide what you're going to do, either choose to take part in good things or choose to be destructive and do bad things. In this world we have so much freedom but in the book "The Giver" everyone goes to sleep at a certain time, wakes up at a certain time, and does exactly what there told, here we don't have that. As humans we always want something more than what we have. Our minds are like endless pits of desires and when you're stuck in wanting you're never going to be 100% fulfilled or happy and it won't matter if you created "your perfect world" or not, it's never going to be perfect in your eyes. If you choose to look at this as a perfect world that's what you will see. However, if you're stuck in ego and pride and lust you're always going to want something else, something more. That's the way we all live, like for example if you want something and you finally get it you'll be happy for a little while and then you'll be thinking of the next thing you want to get. There are bad things that are going on, like starvation, which is something that lots of people face but, in actuality there is more than enough food to feed everyone. If us people worked together no one would be hungry. We choose to see and make these "imperfections" our selves that doesn't mean this world isn't perfect it means we need to make some change.

         I know everything might not be the way you want but that doesn't mean this worlds not perfect, it just means we need to make changes in what we do and change our perceptions about it. The way you do something might not be perfect for someone else and vice versa but that doesn't mean either way is wrong. Perfect can only be achieved when you stop wanting things other than what you have and that's when you'll realize this is the perfect world.

Why we do satnaam

Ik onkar sat naam sat gurparsaad param jyot puran Prakash dhan dhan dhan satguru ji Dandauth bandhna ji.   Why do we do simran? Why do we say one word again and again? Why do we read and listen to the same divine wisdom again and again by making it part our daily routine? To remind the mind that it is from the light, to realise it's source.  E mun tu jot saroop ha apanaa mool pehchaan.   Otherwise the mind is racing outwards into the world at every moment. Baba ji said tell your mind when it forgets, to jap man satnaam sada satnaam. Satnaam satnaam satnaam satnaam satnaam satnaam satnaam satnaam satnaam jap mun satnaam sada satnaam.

Simran and tavleen just got their black belts after 6 hr grading. And 2.5 years.  When they started a few years ago baba ji said it's good for them as it teaches discipline.   It's a real blessing to complete the things we start.  Only by gurus grace. Without gurus grace we never finish any of our tasks.

"Well done,  you worked hard and stuck to it, see what perseverance gets you. I am a sinner full of sins doing mistakes all the time and have turned my back to the Guru.

Our daughter Tavleen was saying she would rather do satnaam than type satnaam on kakao sangat chat group.

We said to her to trust dassan dass ji and go on to kakao and do some satnaam.  That baba ji has said that kakao and the website are the heart of God.   That if we go to them with devotion then they are  the real gurdwara - door to God.   So we said you wouldn't go the gurdwara and just sit and do simran, first you would go and bow to guru and Sangat and do your prayer for forgiveness and blessings and thanks.    Same way when dassan dass ji or baba ji are infront of us we first do Dandauth and offer our prayers with devotion.   

So have the same devotion when coming on kakao and the website.    We are meeting our all pervading guru in the Internet gurdwara.     We told her that we are very lucky to have such easy access to the divine beings.  Because we searched for 16 yrs before we met dassan dass and baba ji.  

When we were young we used to ask our mum the same thing, "what's the point of going to the gurdwara when we can just do simran at home?" 

She told us "everyone is searching and praying for God but gurbani says  without a guru they don't get very far.  So we go to the gurdwara and we hope that maybe, just maybe there is a divine being sitting in the sangat who will hear our prayer and bless us."   

We always remembered that, we always prayed at the gurdwara that some kind blessed soul will hear our prayer and pass it to God.    

So after many years of seva and prayers we were blessed with dassan dass ji's sangat on email. Still we  had to wait a few days before we got a reply. A few weeks if they were on holiday.    But we treasured those emails and had thirst to open them, we even felt amrit from them. Then we met them after 2 years and only every few years since then. 

Now look with kakao how easy it is, satguru ji is instantly available.    Prayers and devotion and confessions from the heart  shared here are instantly blessed by the heart of God, dassan dass and baba ji maharaj.    (Incidentally, we told baba ji about what our mum said, he said it was true, we earned it by finding divine soul, but she never earned it herself because even getting blessed by dassan dass ji she never surrendered.)

To give an example of how satguru hears our prayers, baba ji said the first time they took pain happened like this.

When they were doing their bandagi at the gurdwara for those seven years that they were in samadhi and felt so much negativity come to them.   They washed it in an instant with God's name, but opened their eyes to see where it came from.  There was a middle aged lady praying infront of gurbani guru.    Her prayers were heard by God and came to the nearest heart God was in to be answered.  Baba ji took her pains, she left clean.   

Baba ji said all these prayers in the gurdwara are going nowhere if there is no sant sitting there.   No one is taking and clearing the pains of the sangat if there's no divine soul there. That people make Langar with hopes and wishes for their hardships to be solved and their desires to be fulfilled,   but all that negativity just goes into the food and is shared by the sangat as they eat it.   It doesn't get cleared, just distributed. Makes everyone a little bit more negative.    

Also, praying for deceased souls by the priests has no effect either.  

Ritual readings that people pay for and don't listen to nor put into practise achieve nothing either.  

Without a sant all these activities are wasted efforts.     

So when we have satguru on kakao and the website, then our prayers and efforts reach the right place.   (By the way baba ji said if we go to the gurdwara, eat less just a handful, bless those who made it, serve more, clean shoes, wash dishes, erase our ego, then going to the gurdwara us good. Give more than we take.)

Dealing with Suicidal thoughts

Reply to sister who has been feeling suicidal.

DASSAN DASS JI :

Being suicidal is cowardly. This is the worst Karam (deed) anybody can do. The person who commits suicide his soul gets trapped in there (in dark realms) for an indefinite period of time.

So how does that provide a solution to your problems?

If you do so, you are trapped in much more serious problems for self and for others living in there.

So you need to understand that this is the worst crime you can do to hurt yourself unimaginably.

By ending a god given gift of life which is A DIAMOND capable of merging in God.

The problem is not your life and your unsuccessful efforts to make your life worthwhile.

The problem lies in not following the Truth.

You have grossly ignored the Truth that will make your life blissful forever.

You have totally ignored what has been told to you repeatedly. And this is a slap on your face for not following the Truth you have been told repeatedly.

And you are not able to understand what is happening and why it is happening.

This is a wake up call.

So wake up and follow the Truth.

Satnaam  ji i had same thoughts a year ago there is an experiment that might help you.  Try and hold your nosetight for five minutes and hold your breath. Then watch what is important. Is it work ? Or family? Or circumstances? Or is it important to breath first?

You are alive, its a blessing, rest all follows. Whenever other things seems important than life itself hold your breath for five minutes and see life is a BLESSING.

Satnaam  ji,   God bless you.  First you did the right thing and talked about your real feelings.    Takes courage, especially when you may think everyone will see it as a sign of weakness.    Secondly, even having all the divine knowledge about life is precious gift, about it is the worst deed, but still those dark depressing thoughts don't leave us.  They constantly drain us, just reminding us of how much of a failure we are and ending it all is a way out.    Day after day, year after year it grinds a person down.   But if we have God's grace, then even in our darkest hour, we muster up the courage and strength to pray from deep down with all our might, "satnaam satguru  ji you do good for me but I don't see it as good, you are forever compassionate.  I am going to live for you only now, do only what you say, serve you, and you take care of my worldly affairs.  I cut my head and put it at your feet, kill me or keep me it's upto you now. "    

Kill your ego, the one that's telling you to kill your body.    That's what we did when we were 17 and feeling suicidal.    Those dark depressing destructive ego thoughts are because of our past deeds.  So we have to suffer them, but die at the feet of the guru and that weight is lifted over time , the darkness disappears. Listen to your guru very carefully

Baba ji always said to us "got it?"   because they know we haven't quite got it,but we nod and agree.   But we used to record everything and it's later on when we listen to the recordings we start getting it.   They plant the seeds and it takes time for them to take root.  

It's really important to listen/read  satguru jis gian again  and again until we really do get it.  Because it will save us making silly mistakes and help us to get through our tests.  

Every test we have, if we have the higher wisdom we can pass the test easily.  But when we don't read/listen to what satguru ji is saying and understand deeply then we fail.  

One thing we note is that whatever satguru ji says to you, pay real attention , record it and listen, because you will need it to pass your tests.   Everyone who skips reading dassan dass ji's gian or  doesn't listen  to baba jis Katha is not going to last in sangat too long because they are the ones who fail the tests due to lack of divine wisdom. Satnaam.

Some examples,  first time we met baba ji and mata ji with her blessed family, baba ji was telling them all about not having pride.  That God himself has no pride, he is inside the maggot in faeces, and he loves it.  So when God has no pride, why do we?     Within two months mata jis family all turned against baba ji.  Why? Because of what religious people will say about them for having baba ji as their Guru,  about how they will marry their kids in sikh society when people find out baba ji is their Guru.     Failed.    

When UK sangat came in 2010, in one recording baba ji said about very blessed T that he had slandered baba nand singh ji in the past, but been forgiven, but if he now slanders one or two more sants again he will be finished by God.    A few months later that's exactly what he did,  slandered baba ji and dassan dass ji. Failed.    

Recently Dr K,  baba ji said that cancer is a gift from God if you have Guru  and do satnaam.  It's God's way if saying come home now.  But when her cancer came back she didn't see it as a gift and turned against her guru, lost her faith. Failed.      

These are major failures.  But we all fail when we don't listen carefully to what gurus have told us beforehand and we fail the test.  Satnaam.
