Satguru ji has already told us keep us in their heart when they give us naam and they never let us go, its only tricky mind that let fools us and make us let go. So no point asking guru ji to keep us in their charan, we are already in their heart. So ask for their charan to come into our heart.

When we started doing this a few years back in our amritvela, just meditate in dhan dhan dassan dass jis lotus feet in our hirdha/chest area, with love , with satnaam massaging theirbfeet, one day we merged into them, heart opened, amrit filled body from.heart all around, arms raised up, and we saw dassan dass ji waiting for us on the other side.   We are moorakh, all is their kirpa.  Arms going up like welcoming god into our heart, is called bah laadaaya in gurbani

Vich duniyaa seva kamaaiaa
Har dargah baysan paaiya
Kahu nanak bahu laadaaya

Do selfless seva in the world,
You will get a seat in dargah (hirdha)
Nanak : and your amrs will welcome the lord (bahu laadaaya)

Dhan dhan dhan dassan dass jis sat charan kamal, they ferry the whole world.
