We say that there will be rare one's who will do complete surrender with trust devotion and love. This doesn't mean that you can't or will not do so. You (satnaam sangat) can and are of those rare souls who will achieve complete surrender.

Never think that you can't do so. God has blessed you all with the divine power to surrender completely with trust devotion and love.

Just keep using these divine powers and for sure you will be recognized as one of those rare souls as well.

Ask for forgiveness fpr yourself, pray for upliftment of everyone else..sarbatt da bhalla. Instead of hating yourself , just confess your deeds ask for forgiveness,and then learn to love your true self ..your soul, satnaam. Self Hate , fear and guilt are negative emotions and dont bring in love.

So focus on your immaculate divine light ..prabh jyot prabh naam..
By saying satnaam with love for satguru, rather yhan focusing on how bad you feel for your misdeeds. Once u asknfor forgiveness u are forgiven instantly by the kind guru, but still the mind likes to keep focusing on the negative to make us feel bad..so learn to forgive yourself as well, be kind to your mind, u cant conquor the mind by beating it and hating it and fighting it, its iy gurparsaadi gurkirpa of satguru that can do it and thst happens with humble true heartfelt prayers full of love. Look at how in gurbani satguru jis have given us the way to pray..

Hum moorakh mugadh sarnaagatee kar kirpa milay har soi....full of love and humbleness and accepting we are just a dumb fool. Infact we try and use gurbani to do our ardas rather than our own words for this reason. Self hate doesnt come in gurbani. God bless all.

Also baba ji told us once not to keep saying "i love you" because it becomes meaningless, people just say it and dont know what the true deep divine love is.  So baba ji said say it once, and just say satnaam instead, as dassan dass ji wrote above, doing satnaam is how you practically show how much you love your satguru.

Also once before eating we put hands in prayer position to do a little ardas of thanks for the food, and baba ji said, "put ur hands down, just say satnaam inside as u eat".  By saying satnaam inside all the time, we are saying thanks, we are showing love, wr are doing dandauth, everything is in the one trur word...sat sat sat sat. So focus your mind to make sat sat sat into everything for you. Day and night, each and every thought, one track mind, ek munn ek chit, sat sat sat.
